I completely agree with everything you said. I tried both and kept the Q35. I was able to get them both for the same price. I wanted to like the Q45, but alas... it was not meant to be. The Q45 hurt my head. I could not figure out how to stretch out the bands. I don't think my head shape is any different than most people either. The bottom part of the cans would clamp my jaws too hard. The cans didn't go low enough. Then, the sound. More tinny and loose than the Q35. I played around with the EQ but it still could not match the beautiful crisp, smooth, and tight tone of the Q35. I cannot comprehend why ALL the RUclipsrs laude the Q45 so much when it comes to the sound. And I've watched a ton of videos. They all love it. You are the first that I have come across that think the Q45 sound is sucky and I totally agree.

I'm not sure either... Pound for pound the Q35s are just better hands down. Only thing that the Q45s win out on is durability I'd say. That's why they switched up the name... Because they know these are not an upgrade (not to the Q35s at least).

Thanks for the video, it was just what I needed to confirm what I had in mind and based on my experience, in fact I saw many complain about the construction of the q45, brother I have been using the q35 for almost 4 years, and I use them many hours a day, after a year and a half it began to degrade due to excessive use the part of the headband began to open, I thought of a solution to put a screw and a nut on each side that adjusts to the size of the headband and more than 2 years passed and they continue to hold up, the best purchase I made in my life with the SOUNDCORE Q35 headphones THE BEST

Was leaning towards the Q35 based on this review, but at $10 CAD cheaper than the Q35’s right now on Amazon, I decided to take a chance on the Q45’s and was not disappointed. Especially after the firmware update! HearID really improved the sound quality and overall balance between the low, mids and highs. I have lost about 60-70% of my hearing in my right ear and I have tinnitus so the HearID technology really helped me find the perfect balance. Music sounds so full now vs the out of the box sound settings. Might purchase the Q35’s if they come down in price from the current $159 CAD for my daughter. I Was Not All That Impressed With Q30 But Q35 And Q45 Sound Really Nice .
I have Q35 And Q45 And Enjoy Them Both But One Is Better With LDAC LISTENING When PRIORITY ON SOUND QUALITY Is Chosen
Q35 Come In 2 Colors BLACK AND BLUE . I Went With The Blue .
Q45 Come In 3 Colors BLACK , BLUE AND WHITE . You Gotta See Those White Q45s ! ! !
Q35 LDAC Listening with PRIORITY ON SOUND QUALITY I get a lot of cut outs in the audio I'm Listening to .
Q45 LDAC Listening with PRIORITY ON SOUND QUALITY I Never Get Any cut outs in the Both Q35 And Q45 Audio I'm Listening to .
Q35 Transparency Is Not Very Good At All Sounding Muffled . I End Up Just Removing Them So I Can Hear People .
Q45 Transparency Sounds Like I'm Not Wearing Headphones At All . I Leave Them ON And Hear People Just Fine .
Q35 ANC Is Just OK .
Q45 ANC Is Way Better Getting Closer To Sony XM3 XM4 Quality .
Q35 Look Good Especially In Blue And Good Build Quality.
Q45 Are Real Lookers And Look To Be Built Even Better Than Q35 Especially In The Adjustment Mechanism .
Q35 Are Lighter And More Comfortable With More Cushion ON Top Than Q45 .
Q45 Are Heavier With Less Cushion ON Top And More Clamping Force Than Q35 .
Q35 Have Harder Punchier Bass Than Q45 .
Q45 Have Less Bass But Still Enjoyable Bass However Nothing I've Done Makes Q45 As Punchy As Q35 Bass .
Q35 Has Auto Pause Funtion But It Works Even When In Just Chewing Or Yawning So I Disabled It .
Q45 Don't Have Auto Pause Function Which Is Fine Since I'd Just Disable It Anyway .
Q35 & Q45 Can Be Listened Wired Passively AKA Powered Off And They Both Sound Their Absolute AweSomeNess PerSoNiFied Best Like This .
    My Humble Wired Setup Is - ZFold3 - To Hidizs S9 Pro DAC / AMP DONGLE - To Q35 / Q45
When You Listen Wired Be Sure They Are Powered Off Else The Audio Will Not Sound Right .
Q35 Clamp Force Has Never Been Uncomfortable .
Q45 Clamp Force Has ON Occasion Been Uncomfortable So I Had To Adjust Every So Often .
The Q35 & Q45 Both Have Really Good Sound With The Q45 Having A Tad Less Bass Punch But I'd Say The Q45s Sound Is More Refined .
Do I Think The Q45 Are A Worthy Buy Over The Q35 Or As An Upgrade To Q35 . My Opinion Is As Follows .
With Q45 We Get Way Better ANC Way Better Transparency A Better Look And Build A More Refined Sound Albeit With A Less Punchy Bass And The Q45 Come In 3 Colors BLACK , BLUE & WHITE And All For Just $150 Which Amzon Is Offering A $20 Off Coupon As Of 11.15.2022 Making Them $129.99 Before Taxes So Yeah They Are Totally Worth It Even At $149.99 .

I have to agree. I finally opened up my Q45s after buying them during Black Friday sales last year. lol. I kept them in the box for this long because I found Q35 had no faults that I could find for my usage and pondered if I should return my sealed Q45s. I fell into the "new product = must be better" trap. Then return window went away xD. The Q45 have the better ANC/transparency, but the bass is better on the Q35. There are also downgrades on the Q45s compared to the Q35 as well, such as the auto pause on the headband and the cupping feature that allows you to quickly be in transparency mode. I was getting annoyed that I couldn't cup the outside of the earcup to enable transparency mode to talk to my kids when they walked into my computer room/office. Don't get me wrong, I still think the Q45s are fantastic. The Q45s now are my bedside headphones when I want to watch a show/movie without disturbing my sleeping wife. Q35 still remains as my computer room/office headphones. If you have the Q35s, I wouldn't upgrade. The Q45s though are subjectively better looking.

I don’t know if I should be having buyers remorse like I am after watching this lol. I could of saved $40 getting q35 with 2 year warranty, but I must say ANC is important as I do like over the ear headphones for long plane rides and travel. After all that typing, I have. Not been able to find a review that talks about hearID for the q45. Does that level the playing field as far as sound quality? I set it up, and I think they sound great! This is really interesting… so I’ve had the q35 for around 2 years now and they have been freaking amazing. Unfortunately a small part of the headband cracked, maybe since I sometimes fall asleep and maybe they bent inwards or something. Anyway, I just completed my 2nd year of college and wanted to give myself a little reward. I’ve been curious about the q45 as I heard good things about the NC and battery life is even better. I just got them and to my pretty immediate surprise, the sound quality is really quite awful. I’m sorry but wow, I did everything I could in the EQ settings and the sound is just extremely flat. The bass is very flat especially and overall the signature is just very hollow sounding. While the NC was very good, it’s not good enough to give up the richer, fuller sound of the q35. So back they go and I’ll just get myself a new pair of q35 and be perfectly happy with them. I’m really shocked I didn’t see other reviewers have this experience with the sound.

    • @nativerezmedia
      @nativerezmedia  5 месяцев назад +1

I'm guessing they either didn't truly listen to them. Or didn't want to hurt soundcores' feelings. That extra battery life and slightly better NC is not worth the sound degradation, or other absent features. A set of $80.00 Q35s (because they are 80 bucks on Amazon a lot of the time) will blow any other headphones in that price range out of the water.

I find the Q45s sound way better wired and POWERED ON (caps for emphasis). Strange how subjective audio quality can be. Powered off they sound muddy and lack clarity, when powered on I find the sound is lighter and there is more separation.

How is the bass on the 4s vs the q10s? How would these hold up under sweat in the gym or sauna?

Base is better on the q10s... But the overall sound is better on the Q40s with the eq

Mine are going back too and I'll get the Q35 instead. I really can't get them to sound better than my boltune bh011 which did cost me only 30 usd!
Tried the Q45 for three weeks now, but can't get to love them... Bye bye

The sound is good, firmware has worked to clear up the sound a little. Tweaking the eq makes these sound much better.

Not much of a difference, both are adequate and calls sound decent.
