    Dude I love your transparency throughout your videos! It improves the quality of your videos by a mile. Especially compared to any other reel comparison content creator (cough cough, thereeltest)! It increases your authenticity a lot as well! However, one thing that tips me off. And it’s the usage of emojis for the titles. I understand you want to adapt to the RUclips algorithm. Though I would watch your videos nonetheless! Keep up the good work!

      @@C0ldB3er hey cold! I really appreciate the kind words! I believe that transparency and honesty are really the only way to go in terms of sharing information and thoughts on these items. Since my channel is on the smaller side I can’t quite turn down free product for review quite yet but the goal is to basically have the channel fully fund the items that are reviewed on the channel. As far as the emojis are concerned haha yea I totally get what you mean but it beats me putting my face with a fake expression on the thumbnail imho. Imho, I don’t need to bring attention to myself just to the products being tested and reviewed. I’ll try playing around with not including emojis in the title though as I understand it’s a bit childish lol. You are right though it’s an attempt to get the algorithm to push the title up and get people to look at the title of the video haha. Anywho, thanks so much again for the kind words and support! Cheers my friend!

    Hehe, funny you show this, today I was testing a new rod and the Purelure SilverFeather Air was smacking a small tanta on a with a 0.2 gr bead, so around this weight and it's very consistently. For people complaining about the usefulness of sub-1 gram casting ability. if you are outside big predator areas this opens a world of possibilities for everyone like XUL, you can go and have a good time casting for EVERYTHING that is on water, from silver fish to sun fish.
    Today I was catching mullet with the Supercontinent 2cm plastic and a 0.75gr cheb lol and you can "only" catch them on small white presentations, but they fight like a truck.
    Thanks a lot by the sharing of this valuable information that shows that you don't need to break the bank to have access to crazy performance on casting gear.

      Hey Ricardo! I’ve been using the test lure setup I showed in this video for a few years now and it’s produced some really good sized bass for me. It’s odd because on one side you have the UL spinning anglers saying they can outcast bfs and can cast lower but in all actuality I don’t think I’ve ever heard of an UL spinning angler casting sub 1g. Then on the other end, you have bfs anglers saying that you don’t ever need to cast sub 1g… my arguement is that it is a tool to have in your toolbox and should and can be used whenever you think it might be needed. I think at my super pressured lake the use of the 5cm supercontinent worm is a presentation that has probably never been seen by the fish and is why it works so well. Yes, I do catch dinks but at the same time I catch big fish as well. When I see other anglers not catching anything well… I have absolutely nothing to complain about and perfectly happy catching dinks and big ones all the same. Anyways, it’s nice to have the ability to cast this low and pretty amazing imho. Cheers my friend!

    You have to put a washer of 0.1mm on one side of the spring of the inductor. so the inductor to move less out/right. On some old Daiwa SV spools there is already a washer between the spool wall and the inner plastic ramp that tuning is similar to manual setup of the inductor in Haibo reels.

      @BFSFISHINGCHANNEL  23 дня назад

      @@veskostam3523 hey vesko! I actually shimmed the side plate with a 0.1mm to push the spool away from the magnetic ring. Shimming the rotor also seems like another way to accomplish this but is not as easy to do. I can’t recall why but I have already removed the inductor and spring from the spool just to see what the spring looks like and to compare it to a sv spring. It is very weak vs the sv spring this means that the rotor engages quite easily. Cheers my friend!

Second, when I had the 22 Aldebaran it was not the most adept at casting 1g and using a KKR aftermarket spool made it cast most consistently but I do not believe it would have been that great at sub 1g casting. The third criteria is that I have actually sold my 22 Aldebaran bfs as there are many reels that I try to test and I can rarely hold onto reels for the sake of owning them. I'm looking for the best value that hardly ever backlashes and casts 1/16 oz 25 yards MINIMUM! I haven't bought a bfs reel yet because I haven't found one that casts farther than a spinning reel and when you don't have a boat, most of the time, casting distance plays a big roll

    • @BFSFISHINGCHANNEL
      @BFSFISHINGCHANNEL  6 дней назад +1

      Hey Andrew! Thanks so much for the question! Ok let’s do some conversions first 25 yards is 75 feet, and 1/16 oz is 1.77g. So, you are looking for a reel that can cast 1.77g about 75ft. While the reel plays a big part in casting I would also say the rod does as well. What rod would you be using Ooc? Also, what is your budget for the reel? Finally, while I have not test cast 1.77g with a spinning setup vs a bfs setup I will argue that bfs setups have something that spinning setups do not have and is something that is very hard to master with a spinning setup which is accuracy. Anywho, I look forward to hearing your responses! Cheers my friend!

      @BFSFISHINGCHANNEL your absolutely right, the rod plays a big roll. I'm still doing my research, and love and appreciate people like you that do the experiments and testing videos to compare. I really don't plan on fishing anything less than 1/32oz or .8 grams, and I want a short 1 piece rod that's still capable of casting to the middle or opposite bank of the river I fish which varies between about 20-100 yards or 60-300feet. Either way I want a bfs reel because I prefer them to spinning rods. I wish someone would put as much time and effort into a spincasting reel as they do baitcasters and spinning reels because the efficiency of just pressing a button, no bird's-nest, not having to flip a bail and hold the line is ideal for problem and stress free fishing. I think the bfs reels using 2 micro bearings on a short shaft and light shallow spool with symmetrical magnets (not 6 on one side) and tapering line guide is what I'm leaning towards with a 5 and a half to 6 and a half rod. I like the kistler lite medium heavy rods and the Shimano alderbaron mgl 50 if money wasn't an issue, budget I'm looking at the mavlos delicacy and soloking bmc100 or micro monster pro and mavlos ultima

    Just one remark and one question :
    - It feels a bit odd to compare the Loongze and MIIEC EXA with classic non assisted reels.

    • @BFSFISHINGCHANNEL
      @BFSFISHINGCHANNEL  Месяц назад +1

      Hey Maurice! The reason I included the two dc reels is that they both have 28mm spools and both claim to cast below 1g. Regardless of the braking system if the reel claims it can cast a certain weight then I think it should be included as the end result is the lure weight being cast. Regarding your DWU question, I have never been able to cast any of those reels below 1g very far vs these 28mm spool reels. The only version I have experience with that can go below 1g is the Soloking Acura pro and it can’t compete with these reels. I think at best I was getting maybe 20-25ft with a 0.8g lure with that reel vs these reels getting 35ft+. Quite a significant difference in distance. Hope that helps explain things! I think the most surprising thing that I learned from this bfs reel shootout is that the bfs reel with the lightest spool Daiwa claims it has ever made casted the shortest distance in comparison. 😂
    I still think I’m going to choose the Daiwa SS AIR TW for short distance power finesse paired up with a short Extra Fast action rod. 😎
    Maybe the SS Air TW was overbraked?

    • @BFSFISHINGCHANNEL
      @BFSFISHINGCHANNEL  Месяц назад +1

      Hey Kenneth! Yea… I mean it’s understandable a bit as the magforce braking system relies on a rotor that’s a part of the spool which adds weight. The JDM brands don’t seem to be too into sub 1g casting anyways so for one of their premier bass finesse reels to do it with a relatively simple modification is pretty awesome imho. Outside of sub 1g casting the SS air tw is a stellar reel and you definitely feel the higher fit and finish of the reel vs many of the other reels listed here. You do pay a bit of a price premium for that though which is to be expected I think. Anywho, thanks so much for sharing your thoughts and cheers my friend!
      PS I’m not sure if the SS air tw is overbraked as it has outcast the 22’ Aldebaran and the Haibo arise air when I tested a 1g lure weight. The braking profile is very controlled though so it’s hard to say whether it is or not as I don’t have sophisticated equipment to fully test these theories.

The only sub gram reel I have is a Daiwa Silver Creek and I modded it with a roro spool and ceramic spool bearings, otherwise half gram lures was a struggle. Honestly, the only time sub-1gram lures are necessary is when you are fishing the tiniest of creeks and streams. Otherwise BFS fishing with 1.5-2 gram lures is perfectly acceptable BFS fishing. If you do require sub gram casting and don’t want to spend the time and money modding a JDM reel then just buy yourself a good CDM reel like the Flight Feather etc, and cast sub gram perfectly out of the box without breaking the bank.
