I mean, he stopped running these scams now, and Discord is practically an anonymous platform for ordinary people, so it's a pleasant surprise that's also not totally unexpected
there are a few things that are possible:
1. the viewer was seeking attention, sad but possible
2. the "scammer" was being honest about being a scammer, but gave invalid statistics
3. the "scammer" was telling the truth completely, although i find this unlikely as it could result in them being tracked down

I'm honestly a bit fascinated with just how sociopathic Jesse is. You can tell they had absolutely no guilt for the hundreds of accounts they ripped out of innocent kids and the thousands of dollars they made from selling them. They literally go into the interview to boast about their scams like it was a grandiose achievement. Their main joy from it was enjoying watching the kids freak out and burst into tears after realizing their mistake. And despite all of this, they have absolutely zero regrets.
That's a true sociopath right there.
EDIT: Don't read the replies. Since the replies are full of kids saying "bro chill. I would've done the same thing," I'm gonna clarify what I said.
As a psychology minor who's very well versed in mental disorders, Jesse shows a lot of signs of Antisocial Personality Disorder, which is basically the psychological diagnosis of a sociopath.
In all honesty tho, it taught the kids to be more careful online and such. I didn’t fall for the scam but I have fallen for something like it for a different game. I was ranked top 100 and had my account phished. From that day on I became a lot smarter with what I did and such.

Guys, there is a new scam that u need to be aware of, someone In a game lobby saying something like: 1/2 or does anyone wanna play? And then they say in the party: I don't like typing can you vc? And then sending you a discord server. If in the server there is a bot asking you for 1 your in game name 2 your email, doesn't matter how big the server is, LEAVE its a scam.
this happened to me and i lost my acc with 400 stars on bedwars and my huge skyblock island like 2k hours lost so ye guys please dont fall for it
@@aaron6334yesh same, i think for me it was a fake RBW server with like 500 users, but prob all bots, i lost not that much like only 300 hours of grinding bedwars, but i had some really great memories from that account, cuz i played so much with a really good friend who got hit by a car and died in the hospital

Exactly the thing i fell for a few months ago, the scammer asked me to send him crypto in exchange for it, i didn't pay up, but that one scammer specialised in hypixek skyblock scams, he sold every item i had and sold the account with the money in it, i Heard it was around 1 cent per million

Note: just sending your email can't give them access to your account. The site you are on asks you to enter a "verification code" which is actually the code to change the password for your Microsoft account.

its a code to replace the recovery email which gives full access to the account.
from there the pisher can change all the other info by receiving codes on an email in their possesion.

they changed my account into an alias

how i got scammed : someone partied me and ask if i wanna play with then they asked me to join "vc" but you have to verify in a very sketchy way
it required for you to send a "single use code sent from microsoft" to them
what will happen is they will turn your account into an alias and you CANNOT log in no matter what
they will also change your pass

They are now forcing me to make someone else to become hacked the same method as me or else i wont get the account back

A couple months ago, one of this situation EXACTLY happened to me step by step. A random MVP++ messaged me and asked me to do a 1v1 duel and if I win, I get to pick any Lunar Cosmetic of my choice. I was a bit suspicious but I did it anyway cause like what you said in the video, who doesn't want free cosmetics? After I won the duel, he asked for my Discord and we had a separate chat over there. I told him what cosmetic I wanted and he asked me for my email which I was really confused about. He told me that it's nothing and it's just to complete the order for the cosmetic. I ended up asking one of my good friends and he told me to block him and never tell anyone my email ever again which I did. I'M SO glad that I took my friend's advice after seeing this video knowing that I could've fallen for a scam at the cost of my MC account. Tysm for making this video as it spreads awareness for this type of stuff
That exact same thing happens to one of my friends accounts only they actually lost there account
The housing scam happened to me still can’t believe I fell for it, but it’s nice to see people making videos on the topic so people don’t make the same mistake I did. I’ve also been calling out scammers in chat nowadays and have been trying to help others keep their accounts. They have also started doing party finder scams in Skyblock, so be cautious of joining parties that ask for voice chat and joining their discord.

This scam happened to me twice! Once in Nov of last year I fell for it, but good thing my friend contacted the hacker and I got my account back days later, around 2-3 weeks ago another hacker tried to scam me again, by telling me to join a discord server and saying it needs me to "verify" my account to the server, then I told a game master and banned him! Ty for spreading the danger of this scam so new users won't fall for it! (Also this feels like I'm watching a horror/detective style video I enjoy it!)
I really like this style of editing. It reminds me of Disrupt's style of editing and sort of creepy/eerie way of telling a story. Keep doing what you're doing and keep up the amazing work!

Hearing that Jesse dude talk about why he did it is sick. Especially knowing he’s doing it to little kids. These people are so mentally ill, and detached from human connections and reality that they find joy in hurting those around them. Genuinely hope some of them find a way to be happier in life and get a grasp on human connection and emotions.
honestly i reckon he wont get treatment..he sounds british and knowing how underfunded our NHS is i can tell you mental counselling etc is almost never NHS funded and so few people seek it due to having to pay out of pocket

@@sleepynova4840 that's very sociopathic behavior if you ask me, i think the main issue is not that it's a game and it's not the end of the world of course but rather you are taking something that is not yours to take in the first place, let alone taking it from children, you could argue that it's the parent's job to take care of that but parents have to sleep, so do the kids too sure but they can't be hovering on them 24/7, it's not so much the stealing that is bad, it's the fact that you feel no remorse for it at all, that's what is concerning, ESPECIALLY with the variable of children being involved, i hope you seek the mental help you need because one small thing ends up snowballing.
I have seen many underrated youtubers but they always have a problem in their videos either it is confidience or editing but in ur video i don't think u deserve to be just at 22k subs u deserve way more and i can see how much efforts are put in the making of this video from editing to voiceovers to just finding information and making a directory. and also remind me when this guy blows up

Thanks for making this video to inform more people about these scams. My account just got stolen similarly, and now I cannot take it back. it's exactly how you said and how it went. The funny part is that I searched my mc name afterwards and it's still there and nothing changed like the username even now (It got stolen like 4 months ago). IDK if it's been sold or what, but I can't take it back anymore.
As I got scammed about a year ago like this, it was kinda different: They offered me a rank upgrade if I would beat them in a duel, and I won. After, I had to enter my mail into the fake webside, but I didn't had to enter a code but my acc was stolen anyways and I still have no idea how this is possible.

OMG, this video is mind-blowing! The scammer is so shady, it's unbelievable. They have no remorse, just taking people's money left and right. Props to the person who exposed them! We need to stay alert and share our experiences to fight back against scammers. Let's protect each other and never give personal info or money to anyone suspicious. Stay safe, fam!
Happened to me, but instead of any sort of cosmetic or anything money-related, it was just "verification" for a bedwars discord server. It had thousands of members, which made me less suspicious. On top of that, the "one time" code email is so unclear as to what the code is for. I read through the entire thing and had no idea it had to do with my Microsoft account, figuring it was just some code so that people could confirm a certain email was, in fact, yours. The fact that the word "password" isn't mentioned once is pretty insane on Microsoft's part, considering the sensitivity of the information in it.
Great work! Loved the story telling and the graphics, although the ending was a bit too abrupt. I expected some sort of conclusion. Overall a great video though, keep up the good work!

There was this one time when I downloaded the Lunar Client just to know that It didn’t have the thing I was looking for, and since most of my friends play other server besides one who likes to play Hypixel,
I think that this video should me a lot to not trust other clients and servers as well. I also that I never really read the chat and never trust the click on a button that can result in me losing my account, but that is a reason why Mojang put that do not trust website to prevent things like this.
Any this video help a lot, your doing good man, keep up with the good work, because this is going to help people save their Mojang and Microsoft accounts just by 50 people scamming other players who work hard to get those ranks, just to see it get thrown away by a button. Be safe out their people, don’t trust sus websites.

The "You logged in from another location" message sends chills down my spine.
I almost fell for this a while back but had the common sense to not share anything else than my alt email cause that’s what I use I recently had something called ‘’Ratting’’ happen to me on hypixel skyblock where the gain your session id by making you click a link or download something and I lost a lot but a friend helped me

This actually happened to me and I fell for it. However when I gave a verification code, i put the wrong email which had nothing on it on accident. That email ended up being hijacked and I still wonder what would of happened if I gave the wrong email with all my stuff and my entire internet life on it. This just goes to show that nothing is free in life, and you should always be wary of others. Stay safe everyone, appreciate the documentary from you informing others of this!
damn thats crazy i actually fell for the scam and had to contact Microsoft support and managed to get my account back and I changed my password etc. It was insanely stressful
you unintentionally did the best thing....bait them....the amount of time they wasted on your acc was time they could of loegit scored another win....
the email doesnt matter, its the microsoft code that they use to hijack the microsoft account, anything out of the bounds of microsoft(so most important things like saved info on sites unless you use edge) and ofc accses to all files cuz most people use windows

Have heard about this stuff, one of my friends acc got hacked. Pretty sad cuz he had speant lots of money on hypixel.
Have also been in situations like this always blocked if they asked for e - mail and stuff, 1 guy invited me to a discord server with over 2k members, to verify and get access to the vc channels, This verification ofc asked for my microsoft gmail, all the accounts in the discord servers were bots with no mutual servers, msged some of them no response... I confronted him he blocked me on hypixel and on discord.

i almost fell for this sort of scam last year... the worst thing is, when they get access to your account, they use it to further promote the scam links. I got a duel request saying that if I win I'll get a month of mvp++, of course I accepted and I won. I got a discord name and the person sent me a link to claim the prize. It looked official but I decided to check the person's discord just to be sure. I quickly realised that the discord account that added me wasn't the same as the discord account that was linked to the minecraft account that challenged me to a duel. The link they sent me also differed from hypixel's official link. It looked similar but i think the l was written as an uppercase i so that people wouldn't notice. I read the forums after and I'm so happy I didn't fall for it.

@@agmass Public ips change regularly by your ISP anyways, and you can reset it most of the time. Plus, them having your IP does absolutely nothing, he's talking about his accounts being recovered.

I remember i fell for this as well a couple months ago, it was extremely stressful and i felt like the dumbest person in the world. but after like 3 weeks of nagotiating with the microsoft support team i got my account back so it is possible to reverse it, but i would imagine it is very hard for a young child.
1:20 actually, in any app that has a chatting message, you can get the other person's info ( full access to device and any other device connected to same network ) If they just sent a message and they're online, I used to do this and troll some " friends "

The same thing happened to my sister in ROBLOX, some one was going to give her some sort of collectible in the game (I'm not sure what is was) and the person sent her a link to a fake roblox website, she put in her username and password on the site, and when she tried logging in on roblox, it didn't work. thankfully a few days later she got her account bach though.

This actually almost happened to me, I remember when I was on a bedwars lobby someone said that they can get me a free lunar cosmetic ofc i immediately thought that this is very suspicious and they asked me for my email so I asked "Why do you need my email" and then they blocked me. I'm sure if I gave them the email they would redirect me to some fake lunar site but I never thought that this was like a account stealing thing, I thought they were gonna spam my email with advertisements or something.
This happened to me a little while ago. Someone on hypixel msged me and asked if i wanted to duel them for a lunar cosmetic or mvp++. I dueled him and i won. He gave me his discord and I told him i want the mvp++ because i use badlion, not lunar. He said alright and sent me a fake link to the hypixel store where i had to "claim" it. I actually first checked what the hypixel store link was so i could see if it was real or not. It was fake so i didnt actually fall for this scam but i was very close to it. Stay safe and dont click random things or randomly give out your info.
I love these videos, the editing is perfect It's like an actual documentary of some sort. I've never seen something like this before it's very unique from everybody else. I love Disrupt's documentaries this is kind of like theirs but Minecraft. Keep up the videos and your channel could grow really big. (:

I almost got scammed like this and almost gave in to their scam but decided it was too fishy and felt bad for a while for not accepting a free cosmetic but now that i've seen this vid I fell so much better with my sense.
Ik it’s a bit late but when I was in a game of tnt tag someone said “if you win against this guy, I’ll give u some cosmetics of your choice”. I told him that he was kinda sus and this continued to happen and I think it’s because I have a very rare username (which I will not name because I am afraid that one of those scammers will somehow get me)

i almost got scammed i dueled a guy and he said he was gonna give me lunar+ but i didnt give the guy my email, (bc it was my moms) and i dodged a bullet im so sorry dude
@@therubberducker Just don't give your email for free stuff, as most store supports only Minecraft username to be put to purchase a person or the account holder something it will work fine. You don't have to give the person email or put an email on the website they give just tell them get us a gift code or crypto for us to purchase by ourselves, if they are giving a website link, if it is by asking the email directly just tell them you can put MC Username lol why do you need it. Simple. That's why most young people are affected by this. And it is sad that these people sold the account considering some of the parents hard earned money. If its the case.

this actually happened to me, I almost lost my account to this but when I got a email notifaction of someone logging in from across the world I knew something was wrong and changed all my personal details.
I think i got scammed this way without even realising it. About half a year ago I remember to claim one of said "gifts" I dont know if I gave all my information but I did a 3 months pause afterwards and didnt realise something mightve happened. Well now I have no acces to my account anymore and had no idea what couldve happend up until now.

The same thing happed with my bestfriend, with the rankup scam. Luckly someone she knew was good with this stuff and got her acc back, when she joined her housing she found out they used her account to scam other people too.

a month or so ago, some random person went up to me in hypixel duels, said they were buying me a rank, we added eachother on discoed, they asked for my email but i didn't give it. now that i watched this video, i'm really glad i didn't.
I literally just had that happened just that I noticed that the website was weird and didnt match somethings so I managed to scam bait the scammer for a few hours until he relized what i was doing and gave up
I heard a bit about this happening, but I got my account permanently banned from an account security ban on hypixel even though i had no suspicious activity nor got phished in any way
This happend to me :/ i got so caught up on getting a rank my account had mvp+, a cape on lunar, 300 bedwars stars and many other stats on other gamemodes...
Damn. Just fell for one of these a few weeks ago, I recently made a new account and someone said in a duels game “if you win I’ll buy you a lunar cosmetic” then I beat his ass and said I don’t want it.

This happened to me, I was told after winning a duel I would get a lunar cosmetic. I was very skeptical but I just did it, after picking my cosmetic the guy sent me a link on discord to claim it. Luckily I quickly googled it and found that it was a scam. I also remembered that when you buy a lunar cosmetic it only needs the players username. Long story short, if someone is trying to gift free items on minecraft/lunar they dont need your discord, or email (and if they ask you for it its a scam) Only your username to type in who the gift is for.

this exact same thing happened to me back in december 2022. some guy messaged me saying he was making a video where he gifts cosmetics if u beat him in a duel. after i beat him we exchanged info and he asked for my email & a code i recieved. lost my account since then and its been 6 months
A few months ago I got hit with 2 of the ‘if you win a duel you get a Lunar cosmetic’ scams, luckily I had seen videos like these before!
This is exactly what happened to my microsoft account of 4 yrs. Glad to see someone made a video on it.
The same thing happened with me on minemen, and later I found out it got hacked by a rambler acc.
On minemen someone said that duel me and if you win u get a lunar cosmetic. They asked for my email and once I did my acc,sxaw was gone.

I do really like this, although don't rip Disrupt exactly. The beginning was nearly an exact copy, but as the video progressed it seemed like you sort of diverted to your own style which felt much more genuine.
I got almost into somthing like that. Creepy to hear, that it actually was a scam...
First off I gotta say, the edits look super great, nice job ok that!
I have a few questions about the video tho:
1) I still dont understand how the scam where they hack you with only your email works
2) Are you sure that the person you've interviewed was an actual scammer? It could very easily be the case that two friends decided to make it up.
they attempt to log into your account and ask to send code to change password which you will be asked to tell them the code

I remember my friend got there acc stolen on lunar since a friend wanted to give them a cape or smth it was scary and you should never trust anyone because they access it by gifting it or something
I got effected by this as well. This is a incredibly smart way to steal some ones account. Not only that, the scammer took a MASSIVE step forward and made sure everything linked to the email and my own device to make sure they got every piece of information. They then sold these to the highest bidder and when using my school laptop in class I got a notification saying one of my passwords was spotted on the dark web. They tore through every piece of information about me, and they now most likely have my name. It was only after I took my pc to get replaced and the old hard drive destroyed that they finally went away. Anyways this is extremally bad, so be carful
This scam happened to me, execpt when i gave him my email adress he told me he hacked me. He said he'd give me info back and let me off the hook, but there were two problems : 1.) the money he asked for was 50usd, but the economy in my country is really bad, so for me 50usd was = to 600 bucks, too expensive, 2.) i didnt think i could trust himto give my info back, so i couldnt do anything. i havent played minecraft in 6 months now because of that, and i really miss hoping on hypixel and playing minecraft with my friends

Idk if some poeple are still trying this, but a few weeks ago I was playing classic duels and someone offered me a higher rank if I won. I did, but they quickly logged off. Probably not a scam he just didn't wanna give away a rank
