She's an artist, not an entertainer. She can talk about her art in her concerts.

I'm not sure how you get explaining the reason behind a song (which a lot of singers do from stage) is a lecture. She never tells the crowd they have to believe in God or go to hell. She never tells the crowd that they better stand up for their faith or they are bad people. She's merely giving the backstory of why the song was created.
