@@LizLevanprobably because Lacey's voice had change, I think she sings in a different key now.
@@terribleterri2738 she couldn't really sing it live to begin with anyway, which is totally fine ofc. they're just all older and wiser and know sonically it all comes together better if they're tuned closer to where her voice naturally is.
@@waveemann8857 True, I've only heard one decent performance of this song lol.
@@terribleterri2738 it just is what it is. larger labels then were definitely more worried about the marketability of the music itself and not necessarily anyone's ability to perform. it's great they got exposure and had the opportunities they did, but they definitely had to do studio magic to get everything to fit together. this may sound "not as good" as the studio track, but it sounds more natural as a live performance than older ones (and i think some of how this sounds can be attributed to not being board audio).
