Lovely to see you again! Whichever dress you make, I hope you have a wonderful evening at the Ball! So glad our sewing community has social events! Take care. Sending best wishes from Down Under 🥰🌺💐💐🇦🇺😎
Ah yes I definitely agree with you in terms of the print, that would be fun, but it is such a heavy fabric that I doubt the elastic would hold it very well on the skirt! I constructed the mood dress yesterday from the very lightweight green ‘silk’ and I’ve had to use thicker elastic because I’ve made it full length and added a train. Plus I definitely want to make the pucci dress someday, so it will have to wait it’s turn! 😂. Thank you for the suggestion though. ❤
Happy to see your back! Your plans are wonderful. The Pucci pattern with that colorful fabric….Glorious!!!! I so enjoy your fabric and pattern choices, they are next level 🤩.
Ah thank you so much, I truly appreciate the compliment. 😊Hoping that the finished dress for the ball meets my expectations - I’d better get on with it! 😂❤
Ah thank you so much. That’s really kind of you to say 😊 sometimes they are a bit too different though 😂 I have a feeling the multicoloured culottes may fall into that category 🫣😂
Ooh, I'm loving those dressmakers ball plans. Understated elegance, gorgeous. I'm a fan of brown too, so nice to see someone else likes it. Nice to see you sewing again Sarah 😊
Ah, thank you so much! Not so sure the Pucci one would be either understated or elegant, but I’m definitely going for that vibe with the green dress! 😊
Love all your Naya T-shirts. After seeing everyone's I may have to try that pattern. Looking forward to seeing your Dressmaker's Ball dress. Thanks for sharing. And welcome back, you were missed.
Love your ideas. Hope your vintage jumpsuit works out. I am hoping that you keep the bottom half on the straight grain, with maybe the bodice on the cross grain. I am sure you will have enough fullness and swishiness this way. Whatever you choose will be fab!
Ah okay thank you, that sounds like a good idea, perhaps it will need less fabric then too. I need to toile it and have a go with which way to cut the culottes once the bodice is made I think. 🤔 ❤
Love all of them! I finished that Mimi G dress last night! If you want something quick then that's the one! I made the whole thing yest! Haven't posted the pic yet but if it helps, I can try to photo tomorrow!!! X
Ooh sounds good!! Yes would love to see that as definitely want to make it at some point. Is it for your ball dress? Looking forward to seeing you soon!! 🪩 💃 🕺
@@sewsarahstyle not my ball dress. I'm wearing a dress i made last year as have only worn it once and needed an excuse to wear it!! It would be a great formal dress though esp in a stretch velvet or something like that! X
I enjoyed your video. What is the fabric in the top you are wearing? Is it a knit? Heavier than a jersey? I think I may have the same fabric and I’ve been trying to decide what to make.
Ah yes that’s a good description of the fabric, it’s a thick jersey with quite a bit of body. I bought it as a remnant with the idea to use as part of a joggers set, but it was just enough for the naya! It works well as a warm naya and could be good as a layering piece too to extend the season!
@@sewsarahstyle thank you! I bought it online from a fabric store here in the United States. Wasn’t inexpensive, they said it came from Denmark. I believe. A really nice quality hundred percent cotton. Good luck with the garment for the dressmakers ball. I love a vintage pattern to, have a huge collection, and really hope to see your Pucci garment sometime.

Just a thought… the Mood dress on the mannequin would be delightful out of the first print fabric!❤

Ah thank you so much Sally, just need to get on with it now! 🩷😂
Lovely to see you back Sarah, drooling over the psychodelic fabric and the vintage choice. Whatever you choose will look fab I’m sure!

Come on now…you can never have too much leopard 🤔 😂. Lovely to see you back on our screens 😍
Thank you! 😊. I’m totally with you re the leopard usually but a leopard train? Possibly a leap too far 🫣😂😂😂

@sewsarahstyle oh yes, that's a bit out there, but good on you for giving that pattern a go and the fabric is very apt for the time too.
I think it deserves a go at some point! ❤
