    I love how you decided to use the wool check, and make the collar/front band having the checks go in the opposite direction. I am going to have to try that pattern. You addition of pockets is great.

    You choose such beautiful fabrics. The rag market fabric is too gorgeous to be a lining,you should make it into a dress .I think the rainbow fabric would look fab as the dress rather than the blouse pattern. I would add cuffs to the grey as it would finish it off. I love that your makes always show your personality

    • @sewsarahstyle
      @sewsarahstyle  День назад

      Thank you so much!! I’m thinking I have enough of the rag market fabric to make something as well as a lining? I think I prefer the zebra lining anyway. Unfortunately I don’t think I have enough of the rainbow fabric to make a dress, otherwise I would, it would make the most beautiful dress wouldn’t it?!!

    I love your vids so much; they make me smile. Your passion for fabrics is infectious. I swoon over everything you purchase and also prefer the brown side of your leopard quilted fabric too. The fabric for your bag will look stunning. YSL did a bag in a similar fabric some years ago. It had a "furry" texture also and always look fab in the Winter. Everything you make is so beautiful.

      Ah thank you so much! 😊 yes ysl still have a gorgeous tote bag in a textured leopard which I may have to try and copy a little bit…. Thank you again!! xxx

    I share your excitement about fabric - my not-guilty little pleasures 🤗. I’ve been wanting some cosy makes, so your vlog is very timely Sarah and I adore the last make 💗. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

    Wonderful plans Sarah! If there’s a way to make the cape reversible, you could have the best of both worlds with the Fabric Godmother fabric. 🤩

    Great video! Love everything and looking forward to the rest of what you make up from this batch of material :) And the pocket idea is excellent. I don't like attaching patch pockets as they can easily look too homemade. I have just cut out a quardruple-wide band for a jacquard blackwood 'cardi', with a belt and will use this pocket idea.! Thanks :) (PS the blackwood band made that wide ends up like your wide band, either a shawl or a wide up the neck wrap front. Looks fantastic as a fitted jacket with a belt.)

    • @sewsarahstyle
      @sewsarahstyle  5 дней назад +1

      Ooh thank you for the tip, will definitely check the Blackwood out with a wider band (although I do have the Wendy Ward kinder traced out so may use that) and I’m the same with patch pockets in anything but the most stable of fabrics.

    lovely makes and fabrics. Really like the second lining with the blazer fabric. Really love the velboa, think that would be amazing as a blazer, would look classy and a biit grown up as a slightly more formal jacket. Great stuff

    Love your Besharl jacket. I’ve made two, the second one out of faux cashmere which makes an awesome cardigan. Your wool Besharl looks amazing, love the pockets and how you used the fabric for the collar.

      Ah it’s a fab pattern isn’t it? I will definitely be adding the pockets to every one I make in the future and I miss them on the first one I made. It’s such an easy fix. Thank you!!
