I think I need more information about this keyboard. For that reason it would be excellent if Mr Plouffe could keep hold of it and continue to test it until a time he feels he has all the information he needs. Of course this could take months or years but at least it will have been thoroughly tested.
The keyboard or the gpu? Jk I have an RX 570 with an AMD 965 and only ever play on Steam Deck because I have a toddler. Just wanted to make the joke about syntax ambiguity. 😆
i mean any keyboard that is higher end than a dell membrane keyboard is not worth it because they all perform the same functions, they’re all luxuries that you can decide to partake in or not. none of them are “worth” it more than any other keyboard that types the same letters
6:20 A USB-C compliant port is only required to deliver up to 15W (3A @ 5V). I don't know if there are any motherboards that have a USB PD-compliant port, which would be required for 100W support. Also, non-USB PD double-ended USB-C cables to spec are supposed to support up to 60W anyway.
There are some boards with 60W PD that have a dedicated PCIe power connector next to the internal header. I know of the Asus X670E Hero and X870E Hero and some ProArt one. I think MSI also has PD on some of their Godlike boards.
The LEDs on the top make sense. The ones on the front, not. Those are going to reflect from your monitor. I know because I had to disable the outer ring LEDs from my K100
For what it is this keyboard is absolutely gorgeous. As with anything that's bespoke, the price is relative. But it's incredibly well machined and super customizable.
You must be new here 😂 this is below average pricing for the higher end enthusiast keyboards on the market, and honestly a steal for it's feature set 😊

Eh idk about cheap, but it's certainly it's own type of aesthetic. I like smoothly diffused RGB lighting effect, but some people could prefer the more "retro" type of RGB such as this keyboards.
@@Tyler-z8rtrue is a matter of opinion and I don't think they sell if for that price if absolutely no one would like it.. But for me I think it looks cheap anyway! Reminds me of temu style rgbstrips hehe.. But I respect that's only my opinion!

Damn, the sound these keys make... Don't need anything else.... what a sound profile! Every Angry Miao video gets me because of this. They all sound so satisfying. It is soothing, filling, umami!
I have the exact opposite reaction to them haha It's like the same feeling as listening to someone chew with their mouth open. I'm a clicky switch guy.
If you're buying it as an art piece/conversation starter for your desk then $600 is a good price, you can get something more functional for a lot less.
"Keyboards are very expensive" I remember the times where Mechanical Keyboards were the most expensive types of keyboard but it does not cost the same as a whole computer. I never really understood the the hype around keyboards.
Absolutely WILD price. Very pretty though. Although, for my taste idk if I like the clear keys. I like shine-thru characters on the keys for easier viewing in the dark. I feel like all clear is just going to throw too much light in my face and on the monitor in the dark.
"you're not get this thing and feeling ripped off" but still, even this pricy keyboard doesn't have the numpad on the right. I want this so much, but I use those keys daily.
It would be cool to see some sort of controlled test on membrane, cheap mechanical and halo mechanical keyboards out there. The conclusion might be disappointing tho.
The price and look makes me think it's not actually a newly manufactured keyboard but rather a control panel of the ToS USS Enterprise disguised as a keyboard :p
I respect the product, it’s pretty cool. That being said, for 656 full package, this is the first and last time I think about this keyboard unfortunately
Would it be possible to have a live feed for the LEDs so that I can have weather or the time or whatever else? Or maybe have a schedule timer to have it change to different color profiles throughout the day?

Hey it's the guy with the keyboard and monitor!
Guessing the keyboard cost $600
Edit: LMAO I was close
This guy knows nothing about keyboards and monitors! Plouf out. 😂

in 656$ there are 56$ worth of actual keyboard and 600$ worth of drilled piece of metal

Just like every other expensive keyboard
By that measure the $516 base kit (which includes the drilled parts) is a bargain...

shiny grey, dark grey and light grey

I read this in StrongBad’s voice.
reminds me of Nigahiga old skit videos
at that price there shouldnt be any question about hotswap

Why does it show the keyboard black in the software, yet you can't buy it in black?
Some people spend around 4 or 5 thousand dollars on a PC, so buying a keyboard like this makes more sense for them.
It's like having a mini monitor above your keyboard but worse and at a higher cost.

Having also purchased the R1 Cyberboard, I really wish they'd make more affordable offerings. Neat design, just not $656 neat.
Non-optical non-water-resistant mechanical keyboards with useless lights is like audiophile-targeting scams but for fingers instead of ears.

He's gonna win that in the Christmas party or just take it home.
Oh God the sound. It's so good.
