You need to start calling the guy who goes boating in a long sheve dress shirt and Dockers in a 16’ Boston Whaler “The Black Top Legend “. He’s become a regular.

That older gentleman at the 1 minute mark. I see him in a lot of vids. Dudes as chill as can be in his Boston Whaler. 10 foot waves? Yeah no biggie, I'll just cruise right on out like i'm a god. Dudes totally OG.
I'm all for adventure but these folks are nuts. No small boat should be out in these conditions. No life jackets. No engine lanyard. Don't get the stupidity.
@BalokLives I can't see it happening nor have I in 50 years of boating here ... the seaweed is soft and small ... props obliterate it ... have seen fishing line get caught and seize prop.. you turn off, raise engine or jump in water and cut it off ..
Nothing like kelp which you see on West coast ( don't know if that affects props ) . If the seaweed were disabling recreational boating would be next to impossible.
Hello. On Wensday 24th at around 1:00 p.m. I don't know if it was you that recorded me in my boat. I was wondering if their was any way to that I can get the recording of my boat because I would like a personal recording of my boat for myself. I could send you a picture of my boat so you can know which boat is mine.
These sea conditions are dangerous for all but the most experienced boaters and even then it’s so rough who wants to get pounded and tossed around for the entire boat trip?
If I hadn’t used my diesel motor for some time I would always run it for 30 minutes at various revs before heading out. It just gave me the confidence that both the motor and fuel were good to go with no leaks etc.
Lost my other post.... Anyhoo, EVER heard of a Small Craft Advisory .... lmao, it's ok because most of these folks didn't know what this is either & so they're risking life/limb for a joy-ride? Moreover they are risking it for all occupants of their vessel whether they're aware or not? This is at every "Inlet" up/down the coasts but I only saw one boater who came out & turned back. IDKnow if he was trying to buy the boat(test ride) or if common sense whacked him between the eyes but he turned tail & took her home = Smart Guy!
unbelievable how many people ride up front in the bow area. sitting or standing behind the captain is MUCH, MUCh smoother and safer ( as long as capt adjusts trim for rear weight when coming up on waves ).
You see that alien in the background? Moving fast on the water. 10:41 Some of these boats are just beautiful. Especially the aluminum boat. On a side note, how many drones have you lost in the water?
One must understand what’s going on at haulover. See a lot of people having bad experiences on what should be a nice day. If you’re not a master of your craft, stay out of haulover. Boats are heavy and the wave with the current can kill.
salt water not flushing the water jacket and water pump. two oil changes and fuel filter. Ill gotten maintenance before going out. Lower unit gear oil change something.
I dunno what a tow would have cost him, if it as the police nothing, but private? $2-$3 hunnerd .. the look of defeat on the deck hands face who relegated himself to aft guard is priceless, all they accomplished was losing the anchor hatch cover.. and somehow I feel its not even his boat so explain that one . . . i'm thinking if they slow it down or ride the trenches at speed its a lot better on the hull and engine, why so many want to go airborn is beyond me .. use some technique, motor at your vessels capacity things will go a lot smoother, DEFINITELY wear flotation devices if you do choose to go airborn and challenge this surf, one good knock on the noggin and landing outside the boat it may be your last boat ride .. those who put their children in the worst possible place in the boat then get air born or submarine the forward deck without any type of flotation vest on these kids is just irresponsible, I've seen em fall out and had they knocked their had first or there weren't other boaters around to scoop em up the ending may have been quite different, possibly escalated into into a S&R situation and they close the harbor and everyone's day is ruined +1 permanently.... just practice some common sense and logic eliminate as much error as possible .. so you're on TV, do a solo run get your big air, turn around and pick passengers up, exit normally . . .
What part of "small craft advisory" don't people comprehend? Full "R" word! If they get in trouble I have no sympathy for them. They're putting other people at risk having to rescue their stupid asses🤪
That reckless skipper could not care a damn about his buddie trying to hold on and neither respect for his boat. He must come and play here off the Cape of Good Hope. The last thing that will go thru his mind is his butt!!
Love your show. Way to many guys in these Bout have no is]de as to ride waves. Speed is not one of them and so may pussyng peoples ives at risk. Is this area Patrolled by water Police as i donr see any one wearing life jackets in swell ike this. Aussie Boating.
Lemme guess, the owner/operator of the Bernico RX10 has a lot more dollars than he has "sense", right? Between the la-dee-dah u-turn and his inability to adjust his speed for the incoming waves shows he's got no sense of throttle control to position his boat. Shameful.
I like the Therapy IV. The captain always seems to operate the boat with confidence and skill, whatever the weather or sea conditions. I am guessing he does fishing for hire. If I ever get down your way, I would consider going out with him.
It's a fuel pickup, water in fuel or bad gas problem. Looks like they just repowered with a new engine bracket. Hope they get it sorted out. It'll be a nice fishing boat!
The second guy in the whaler has it down.... don't know why it's so hard for people to comprehend that if you just do the wave speed and stay between em, your ride will be like butter.
What could have caused the engine malfunction? It's unclear, but I'm sure slamming down 5-8' from the crest of the waves multiple times didn't do the electrical system any good. My guess is a loose wire somewhere.
Don't know anything about boating but the little Boston Whaler's seems to do pretty good for a small boat.
Best bang for the buck if you’re looking to get in cheap
Small craft advisory you say? Bob, get the inflatable we just bought at Walmart pumped up, I have a feel this is going to be a good day.

The number of hard NOPES in this video was funny. We'll call them the smart ones. 🤣
He went right through a seaweed patch. Seaweed around the prop?
Prop destroys seaweed ... fishing line ? but if it died outright, prop isnt the problem unless overheated
@@rayo1371 Even if it cuts through it, wouldn't it be possible for seaweed to get wrapped around the prop enough to where it caused a failure?

The outboard took on too much water and can be fixed, but you can’t fix stupid.
Those are some big waves I wouldn't be out there

Anybody else start hearing the Gilligan's Island theme hen Therapy IV came on screen?
Been through Haulover inlet many times on the jetski, plus Deerfield (worse), Port Everglades, Miami.
Good fun

That guy is the best. No matter the seas, he just calmly slides on through. He should give lessons, but I doubt those millionaires would listen.
3:51 good reason for dual engines
Some days it might be a good idea to stay back behind the bridge where it's calmer.
And what about the E-foil?
The past few days down here in South Florida have been a mess in the ocean!
Jet skiers are heros ❤❤❤❤❤
The video is very beautiful. The ships bobbing on the waves

🤔What could have caused the engine malfunction? #1 lack of maintainance, #2 lack of pre-inspection/testing, #3 no backup/emergency plan or engine
If I hadn’t used my diesel motor for some time I would always run it for 30 minutes at various revs before heading out. It just gave me the confidence that both the motor and fuel were good to go with no leaks etc.
Sometimes, things just break. Although lack of maintenance is a big cause.
Loose nut at the helm.
no life jackets in big waves ...
living here you need to have it and make sure vessel is 100% ready to go.

The ones I would ride with mystery white one or police today.
He sucked up a patch of water most likely.
Someone needs to tell that Therapy IV it's time to turn around and go back. It's too rough for fishing
I don’t know whom had more crack, the people riding in the bow and complaining or the Captain.
Inlet looks dangerous!!😅😊
The lack of life jackets always astounds me.
I don't know why people want to go out on days like this. The intracoastal is the way to go in an open boat when the waves are cresting.
Phatt back style.
It seems that haulover pilots' IQ is inversely proportional to the height of the waves^³
Most of these boats big or small cant handle these conditions, why do they go out?
I don’t care how much money they have but some people should just not be aloud to operate a vessel!!!!
allowed even

No life jackets on a disabled boat in the open ocean. Thats appalling and I would have thought illegal.
