I literally can't stand the sheer mistreatment of Dark Skinned and Overweight characters by Bollywood. It has been going on since the start and needs to be stopped. It pains to see a society that claims to be woke commit such mindless acts.

but the fact that it was Sexual assault and a forced marriage is whats not just against "hindustani sabhyata" But literally against the law mostly globally let alone one countrys.
So hes a hypocrite criminal who himself cant tell right from wrong, and marries someone forcibly and then sexually assaults, psychologically abuses their victim and doesnt actually
Repent for any thing and is forgiven any way but the brainwashes the victim instead. (Thats what the narrative said atleast,my opinion may change ifmovie is different from narrative tho but it may not be different as ik many abusive romance goes this way).

Yes Jammy, thank you for saying this! The lack of male consent is very prominent in our culture. Men are viewed so cynically and repeatedly are called dogs or whatever in our media. This causes such a regressive view, and men themselves feel like it's alright and is just jokes when they get uncomfortable in a situation. The macho image is publicized so much that our boy's start ignoring their wishes. Sometimes they even miss obvious red flags because they've been conditioned to think that it's 'normal' and a 'joke' and they shouldn't be feeling what they're feeling. Ughh, I just have too many feelings on this subject. I'm glad you brought it up!!!

Jammy, you are one of the very few Indian men who see the misogyny for what it is. I have seen so many comments from Indian men who defend these mindsets. I can't believe that Indian women from the olden days thought it was okay to act in such regressive movies. Unfortunately, the list is a lot longer than the ones you've mentioned in this video and it's a sad mirror of the Indian society. Nonetheless, being from the same society and being a man, you still think about how oppressive towards women most of these films were and I'm so proud and so glad to know that people like you exist. Also, sexual objectification of men as comedy is just sad and negates everything we stand for as women. I would have loved to have a friend like you. Much love.

Of all the scenes & movies you told about, I would like to talk about the second one!
The male body objectification is so common and is overlooked upon in the name of comedy in movies that even people now care a damn about it in real life and have even started normalising it on social media as casual conversations, sometimes even tagging handles of actors/celebs! Had the sexes been reversed, the person would be called names, abused and what not.. but since they're females talking about males, unke liye sab chalta hai!
Keep up the great work.. the scenes stated here were cringe but your commentary over that was nice ❤️😊

She pretends to be raped. The logic is that you can marry a person who rapes you. This was promoted as a comedy scene rather an regressive and problematic scene.
