I thought it looked like a Dolphin, but you could make Donald 's friends for the rest of the glue page. I like it when you post regularly, it is like chatting with a dear friend. Hey to Jayson. Thanks for sharing with us.
Soooooo glad to see Big Bertha again! Happy and healthy as she always is and can always use a little love. Thanks, Shannon. I remember when she was bone!
I love how you can open Big Bertha and she makes you happy with all the little pieces of love that you found. A good place to put all the things that don't match, because they don't need too.
I think it was Big Bertha that gave me that push to jump into "whatever this is called that I do"! Thank you Shannon for all you do and your inspiration! Hugs!
I have very recently suffered a sudden aneueryism that burst in my brain so have been watching the glue books videos everyone is posting. Your videos especially intrique me so i am going to incorporate all the randomness to help with my rehab. I am new to "scrapping and paper art". I am hoping the scrambled mess will help my organizational functions and thought processes. Plus cut down my stress levels as i enter and learn to cope with my new reality. Thank you for your inspirations and teaching. God bless your mess as He blesses mine.
@@ShannonGreen OMG...Thank you for replying personnally. Brought tears to my eyes and feelings of great gratitude. I have started the gathering process.
Love your cheerful, nonchalant, free and easy, art attitude. Must have fun, it should be relaxing, I had a jaunty good time watching you!!👏🏼👏🏼 now I'm looking in my hog pile for an evening of cutting & gluing!😁💕✂️📓
Big Bertha, it sure was a nice visit. How I've missed you since I last saw your purpleness stretched across my tv screen. That was 5 years ago...wow! Love BB Shannon Green. So many things to look at...;)
I so enjoyed the flip through with Bertha. So inspirational. Right now gluing things down is about all I can manage. I’m going to take a look at some of the videos of how she came to be and start my own “Bertharina”. By the way, you such a great sense of humor. Love it! Thank you, Shannon.💕
Yay!...I have missed Big Bertha!...I just packed up mine (after over a year), to maybe work in again after the holidays...as usual, you are an inspiration!
I remember Big Bertha's birth! She is beyond fun!! And inspired a host of other Big Bertha like journals ... so cool! Love the idea of including images of art created by others. XX
Awww, dear Big Bertha, it´s so nice to see you! Thank you Shannon for taking her on a walk! I think you still are that random Shannon, in a good way... Big Bertha was the beginning for my hoarding...I mean collecting magazine images ("sigh") :) Tfs, Fia xx
Pssst... Countertop/cabinet section... Once in a while in roofing/siding... Big books with thick paper. Don't tell anyone I told you 😉 and Walmart has paint sample books on occasion too. Love that you've pulled her back out. She missed you...I can tell
what a blast from the past - its so good to see you play in Big Bertha - and i have to say that when you came by the Buck Naked page i had to smile - every time a Deluth commercial comes on tv i think of you and that story that you told - do you see what you do to us Shannon - how many years ago was that lol - love you!!!!! hugs and happiness to you xx : )
Good advice, Shannon - USE your STUFF!! I used to photocopy my 'best' pics & save stuff for that special project (which never gets done). Now I just use it - there's no fear I might run out of ephemera etc - there's always an excuse to buy more 😉😁
Thankyou for giving Big Bertha an airing ! Enjoyed the flip-through- I have ideas, but they hardly ever come to anything lol. But I think I would like to make a 'Burt' now, a male equivalent of her, but smaller- Thanks for sharing, and a wonderful and prosperous New Year to you all.
To fix the duck volcano problem, just cut around the lighter bubble/mushroom part of the cloud. this will remove the duck bill part and hopefully help the creative process erupt across that page again.
Shannon, you have so inspired my creativity and made me laugh out loud so many times. It would be nice to see an update from the gofundme you had. Maybe I missed the thankyou and update tho.
I’m discerning some “rules” here. “Put it there. Why not? Make it open. Make a pocket. Put something in it. Put something on it.” This is sooooo wonderful, Shannon. I’m keeping it in my inspiration playlist.
This is EXACTLY the idea I am looking for -- my 13 year old niece is going to love a trashy big glue book like this!! Time to get to work and make her something like this to play in- get her mind thinking like an artist- playing in a big fun book like this!! She is going to love it so much!!
I love watching you glue in images - not sure why it is so relaxing, and I should be gluing in my own books- but here I sit watching you glue for relaxation!! LOL I will start collecting some of these booklets if I can get my hands on some of the bigger ones!! These are just so much fun!!
Ok Shannon Green--- I found some upholstery fabric yesterday at a junk store- less than a $1 and now on to find some booklets today at box stores- will see what I can find!! Watched the video again to see what all I need to collect while at the big city today!!
So I had to revisit your revisitation of the berthmeister for some inspiration on my own gluing adventures and I just love her! Man panties=manties? I hope you get to spend some time with Bertha soon 😘
Ohhh Big Bertha I missed you! When Big Bertha is finished, I think you should auction her off. She wrote to me and said she's been feeling neglected and wants a new home 😉💕
I never made a video of the construction but it's really very simple. I made signatures out of some paint sample books and hand sewed them to a heavy piece of upholstery fabric. You can use a running stitch or pamphlet stitch...whatever works!
It was so good to see Big Bertha again, to see she's maintained her weight and hasn't grown a lot. It was also good to see you play again. Did you guys get the loan?
Yippee, another video from Shannon. I have been watching over and over a bunch of your custom keeper's videos, have great respect for all the work that goes into them. Would love to buy one if I could, but.... Anyway, I have a ton of stuff that I could do for a use it up journals, collection journals, etc etc but my main issue is the lack of space to work in. I live in a house with 2 dogs, 4 cats and a husband with antics similar to your husband, who is going to be retiring from work by this next April, so..... I would say that I'd love to be able to help you with some of your work, just the stuffing envelopes/packaging stuff - simple things, but I'm still a bit too far away for that. Good intentions, none the less. Take care and God bless. Sincerely Becky B from Arkansas
Oh my! I have heard of Big Berths, but have never viewed her in her entirety. Love her. I still use you jb5 method as a staple, foundation thinking for my journals. Thanks for sharing and all you do Shannon!
Archeologists, centuries from now, will study her for clues about The Ancient Past. They will conclude 2 things. 1) CrafterSapiens believed in the healing powers of colour and shapes, and 2) CrafterSapiens produced a large, cloth-backed spiritual tome outlining their complex philosophy of life. Unfortunately, the archeologists, despite their advanced science, will not be able to decode the book. Because of its apparent cultural significance, and size, they will wrap it carefully and store it in a big berth.
I thought it looked like a Dolphin, but you could make Donald 's friends for the rest of the glue page. I like it when you post regularly, it is like chatting with a dear friend. Hey to Jayson. Thanks for sharing with us.

Your videos no matter when they were filmed bring me so much joy. I really need to jump in with more abandon.
It makes my heart happy to hear that!

Hello Shannon from Tennessee. I want to no how you put Big Berthea together
Bertha was made from paint sample brochures bound to a piece of upholstery fabric using a simple long stitch.
