Like many, discovered them late, still undoubtedly a top tier late 70s first wave punk band with unreal hooks and memorable songs m If I'd never seen them in photos, I'd assume they hung out Buzzcocks or Cocksparrer or whoever.
They sound LIKE tracks from their album cos they are tracks from their first album. However all Peel, sessions recorded at Maida Vale were recorded almost live with very few overdubs
They are close but not exactly the same recordings as on the album. Still great quality recordings though from a band completely shafted by the music industry.
It’s because they were always top performers. Never got the recognition they deserved but coil out perform nearly anyone live and make ‘em all sound just like the album nearly every time.
Killer, this is one of the better Peel Sessions. The Boys in top form!
Great stuff! Thank you!! RIP John Peel!! :)

Think Paul weller was a fan I’ve listened to this and thought I should of got there records back then 😎👍🏻
Rock Relic got way better when they changed all the words.
Sick on you is a old Hollywood brats song. Originally more glam rock.
Hollywood Brats slower version is much better I reckon.
Exactly. Their one and only album is excellent sleazy glam.
Check out Duncan Reid and the bigheads. Great tunes.
Just sounds like tracks from their album to me?
