Omg I never saw a valve cover gasket this hard! The engine is in great condition guys. If you have to do an oil pan gasket in the near future, please don't forget to secure the notorious oil pump nut. It's a must on high revving M5x engines. Cheers, Dutch regards, Nico.
Hey Nico! Ya man that gasket was like uncooked pasta. so nuts! Oh right that oil pump nut. Do you think welding it or safety wire would be better? Thanks man.
@@jspeedracing Thanks for replying. Some of the washers and bolts are rusty on mine so I will replace all 11 of them. I don't know the condition of the washer and bolt of the 4 in the center. I imagine they aren't rusted as they are tucked away from the elements. Grommets are definitely a must for all.
Haha I've added 2 more Z3's to the fleet. Total of 4 now lol. I'll have another video on this one here soon. Gonna be a cool little project. Ive been slammed with work and it gets dark so early these days and freezing cold so trying to stay in the shop haha. But you'll like this little car. Thanks for the love BK.
@@bigkeg9173 haha facts. I'm considering doing more frequent videos on like updates and stuff. But the quick update videos just wouldn't be as well produced. Me and Andy are trying to plan something like that.
@@liounisdim Yes very likely, especially if they are in the holes. The little tube seals go bad and oil leaks in the spark plug holes. Ebay has the gaskets for cheap.
@@jspeedracing thx bro. Have leakage I beleive its housing filter gasker not the valve. Can I send you an image through the email so you can give me quick advice?
Just got my first e46! Always been a dream car of mine. Cannot wait for mods
Right on brother! We have really enjoyed building our E46's. I have a few E46 playlists that could help. More vids coming.

@@jspeedracing one small weld and you're okay. It's getto like , but who cares. Cheers, Nico
@@Nico_335i_DCT haha so true. Thanks man
In my 2003 530i i had to disconnect the motor mount bolt, and jack up the motor to get the proper angle for the back lower corner bolt! PITA
Nice job. Local indy shop wants $525 for this.
Did you replace the washers and grommets?
We replace the grommets. Washers are fine

If you break the coil pack like that gotta replace it right?
Naw
Is this the same Z3 or another one?
Looks different? Colour and wheels ?

How many hours took you to change it.
2-3 maybe if you’re slow lol
