Happy holidays everyone! Wherever you are, I hope you are safe, warm, and with loved ones. Best wishes for the new year, let's make 2025 one for the books!
That was great, Raven. Though I wasn't wrapping my self in a warm blanket with a hot drink here. 35°C where I am in Australia. Happy Holidays. Cheers. 🍻🍻
@@DigItWithRaven I definitely hope that we get more of those! Jess of the Shire has two excellent videos that I would highly recommend watching titled 'Why do We Tell Creepy Christmas Stories?' and 'The REAL Story of Santa Claus' if you're in need of some Christmas analyses yourself. She also has a video titled 'The Stories Behind Númenor' in case you're ever in an Atlantis kind of mood.
Thank you for the wonderful ghostly gift. I love all of the stories that you choose to share with us. Story telling is definitely your gift, no matter what the subject might be. I wish for you happiness, good health, good friends, and good food for every day of the new year which has been announced by the Winter Solstice.
happy holidays! i enjoyed your telling of this classic tale, esp. with the sound fx. hope you are warm & happy and i look forward to your videos in 2025. who knows what amazing archaeological & historical discoveries will be made! -peace from st.louis, mo, usa.
Merry Christmas, Raven, I just got your book as an early present and am definitely looking forward to reading it! Also, my parents and I went to see The Muppet Christmas Carol on a big screen at the AFI Silver Spring two days ago and it was delightful.
Well Raven, if you played Scrooge, it was based on acting skill and certainly not any typecasting! As it happens, I was an adult and adulting for quite some time before a glimmer of awareness grew in my brain as to why "scary ghost stories" was included in the Christmas song "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year". I MAY have been watching A CHRISTMAS CAROL (right after hearing the song again) when it (finally) dawned on me. Let the mocking commence! And HUGGABLE HAPPY HOLIDAYS to YOU!
It's only now that the spooky Christmas trend is coming back so not knowing until adulthood is ABSOLUTELY okay! I only found out about this a few years ago, myself. I didn't even think about the lyrics so that was a fun thing to learn this Yuletide. All my best to you and your family this season!!!

I've always enjoyed a good ghost story, especially at Christmas. One of my personal favourites is one called The Man of Science by Jerome K. Jerome. A spooky tale of revenge from beyond the grave.💀 Thank you for all your amazing videos in 2024. Here's to 2025. 🥂 Merry Christmas, Raven. 😊
the BBC has done a Ghost Story for Christmas (on and off) since the 1970s, I think they're back again? Of course it's not surprising that the ancient world is full of superstition and supernatural stories, but I never thought they'd actually have proper ghost stories too! Interesting that it's not just a christian thing to "bury the bones with a proper ritual" to resolve the situation! (I love the idea of the ghost rolling its eyes and rattling impatiently at the philosopher. Darned stoics!)

One for the books? Are you publishing another book?

Ooh that is HOT! 🥵 stay cool over there and happy holidays
George C. Scott was the best nonmuppet version of A Christmas Carol.
That was great! I love the RUclipsrs do Christmas ghost stories trope. I hope this becomes a tradition for your channel.
If we can get this video to do well, I've got enough ghost stories for a few more years of ancient horror to bring to your screens 🤞
So glad you liked it!
