Professionalism goes a long way. This is the reason 50 is still around on a high level over 20 yrs later
I've heard from NUMEROUS male and female sources that 50 is just kind and polite. He's a genuine gentleman. And if you watch him interact with people in other industries, you see him put his best foot forward.
My parents taught me when you walk into a room to always greet everyone. It has open up a lot of doors for me and you learn to have conversations with people from all walks of life

To the grave, he's always going to be associated with 50 and he'll always be remembered as being that but that said, I agree with him, he doesn't have to talk about 50 all the time every single time Vlad interviews him, either.

Yayo - "Shout out to 50"

Yayo is the definition of not judging a book by its cover, dude aligned himself with the best and understood right from the jump that he had something special, he kept his head down and didn't take advantage of 50 when everyone else was riding the wave. Most of his music was pretty dooky but he still did his thing and will always be remember as a legend.
I wouldn't quite call him a "legend". But he'll always be a part of Hip Hop. That's an achievement in itself.
Vlad has been catching passive-aggressiveness strays from his guest lately, and I'm here for it 😂✊🏾💪🏾
Me too.
Kinda makes you wonder why’s it taken damn near 5yrs for it?

Facts
I also met 50 cent once, as a journalist. It was a room full of people and we were asking G-Unit and 50 about their EP. I was clearly the youngest in the room, only about 20 at the time, and 50 Cent took my question, answered it thoroughly, and gave me a wink after. Lol. When the press conference concluded he made a beeline towards the door. I asked him to take a picture with me, he walked a bit back and actually took a bunch of pictures with me and dapped me up.
I also interviewed Young Buck later and it's clear that 50 can be very tough in business and on his team as well as frequently going to war.
But there is a reason for his success. And part of it his very intelligent understanding of how long professionalism and class goes. As a result of our one interaction I have a very positive view of 50 Cent and as an actual fan of his music I'll support him his whole career.

That was the same type of person Pac was to. I'm in my 40s & I remembered way back in the day I've met Pac at a show in Oakland in 1993 & he was one of the most respectable people in the industry & he greeted everyone at his show & actually had conversations with his fans & was even giving away money to people that really needed it. ill never forget that day. That was the first & last time I've ever met the legend Pac.
U can totally see why 50 would have yayo around the most out of all the g-unit members. He's cool calm and isn't overly obnoxious he's always just chillin.

Year 2006. Country, Portugal. 50 Cent made a concert in Portugal, and I went to see it. One of the opening acts, was a portuguese rapper, i happened to know him. That night, i didn't talk with the rapper that i knew, but end up talking with one of his entourage hommies. Dude is also a rapper, but i didn't knew him personally, but he was cool with some of the people i was with. I never forget him saying to us that Mobb Deep was a complete disappointment to him, but 50 Cent was an extremely polite, cordial and friendly. So, it is true...

I remember hearing in the 90s from someone in the business one thing that held Nas back more professionally was he was often rapper late for appointments and would have a bunch of hood dudes with him. Once he matured in the 2000s, his business got much better
Interpersonal skills are important. A lot of rappers grew up in the hood. While Nas was hood smart that doesn’t necessarily mean you can navigate professional settings.

Facts Yayo I can tell appreciated that and still loyal till this day
Thats not how it works, he came home to that because he was loyal PRIOR to the overwhelming success. It’s easy to say when someones already rich and made it that you’re loyal, what about when they weren’t shit and had no promising future?
