If you are erratic and irresponsible with your spending and cannot control yourself from spending, that doesn’t make credit cards a bad financial product. Learn to take some accountability for your actions. Stop blaming the world. 🥂
It is 💯 true, my roommates used my credit card behind my back and I was scammed. But, luckily I never used the Debit card after coming to Canada. I disputed the bank and I got the money back.
One thing to keep in mind from October 2022 in Canada, some Shops can legally take 1-3% as surcharge fee for Credit Cards. So, Check with them and use debit card to avoid the fee ( If the transaction amount is large) :)
It makes perfect sense to use financial products like credit cards wisely and earn points or cash back. This is a logical video on credit card usage for an International student.
Hey Piyush, you have know idea how much you motivates people 🫡 seen your many videos god bless you and coming to canada soon and hope if destiny works will cross our paths and obliged to meet you personally ☺️
Bro, I think you didn't provide complete information about credit cards usage for maintaining good credit score. It is helpful only when you paid 30- 35% of your limit monthly.
So, if someone has 1 credit card of 1k CAD, and only 300-350 CAD maximum is to be utilised, how are the other expenses going to happen? With debit card right!?
Hello Piyush, it's really nice to see your all videos. I have one question, can a student make two applications together for PR after his study like PNP and Express entry to IRCC
Hey piyush I want to to ask you something about Credit scores For example Like you said on thousand dollar 💳 credit limit if i spend 300 hundred dollars Than i pay off as soon as possible Atfer pay of can i use another 300 in that month?
Piyush this I understood about credit card But my question is the One day I used my credit card so I hv to wait till I get my credit card bill online or can I do this that as soon as I use my credit card after 3 day can I pay my money which I have used 3 days back Or I hv to wait till bill arrives from bank Let me know this
Hey piyush Can international students open their savings account along with their check in account in Canada (scotia or any other bank) ? If yes will it be better to save our money for our college fees in savings account than check in ?
I just keep it in one account. But technically yes you can open accounts with as many banks as you want as long as your legal status in Canada is valid.

You seriously need to know more about Credit cards and learn financial knowledge. Never i repeat never ever buy a liability on credits or emis. I would rather pay cash instead of taking loans and emis for cars, bikes or even other electronic gadgets because once you do that by credit your instantly into stress about how would you pay off your emis. About education or home loan those two are the only things one can go for because those are investments.
Thank you for your input. 1. Credit card is interest free for 20~ days 2. I clearly mentioned if you cannot buy it in cash, don’t buy on credit. 3. Paying with a credit card gets you an instant discount of 1-5% (cash back or points) 4. If one overspends, more than what they can afford (let it be on debit or credit or cash) they’re gaurenteed to be doomed.
I still don’t understand. Why would you pay interest on credit cards if you make payments on time? I am not asking to increase expenses, instead just switch payment method to credit card.
@@PiyushCanada and still my opinion remains the same. I would never ever suggest any students studying abroad to use credit cards till they have a financially secure job to do so.

Dont do that. Use the one with GIC account for 6mo - 1 year. After that you can think about a second card. Anything more than 2 cards in student life is an OVERKILL.
