Stok is always there in my bucket list as it is "Highest non technical trek-able peak". As one of my friend's suggested me to do this , I tried Stok last year September along with Bikat Adv(One of the best and friendly trekking organizer) under the guidance of Gautam Martanda and Vikas Sreevatsa. Mountains are always unpredictable and we can summit only if they allows us. Our batch can only make upto the summit base camp due to heavy snow(3 feet). Our trek lead and local guide Norbu bhai(Who is standing on the peak in this video) analyzed the situation and suggested us to head back. I was bit upset for a moment but accepted the Gautam bhai decision. As i can feel Gautam bhai is more upset than me because he couldn't lead us to summit. Sometimes we have to take hard decisions on mountains giving high priority to safety. After all this now Stok is must to do trek for me and I hope i will summit Stok along with Gautam , Vikas and Norbu team (Gyatso, Namgyal, Girmit). Thanks Somenath(Trek lead from bikat) for suggesting me to do stok.

Planning since last year, the video gave me enough reasons to just book my tickets. Stok has something marvelous and magical. This peak is the stepping stone for all future summits. It's a celestial feeling at 20,000 feet. Pushes you ,brings the best out of you. Stok kangri - the highest trek- able summit in India, crossing the 20,000 ft mark, late night summit push. All these things just add up the excitement of the trek. And being done a few Himalayan treks and reaching upto 15,000 ft the next goal is definitely this beautiful mountain and will do this in September this year. At least I hope to.

Stop Kangri definitely inspires me the most to trek! I have done moderately difficult treks before and Even though stok kangri is a very difficult trek, just looking at the snow laid paths and the treacherous journey gave me goosebumps. The video is so well made and I am looking forward to going on a trek soon 😍

STOK KANGRI- As the name suggest it happens to be the highest mountain in the Stok range situated in Ladakh. This trek has always been on my bucket list since late 2016 since it would offer the most challenging and unforgettable experience to any avid climber as i am one at an height of 6152m. So long was not able make it to this peak but after looking at the journey in the video it gives me a sense of just reaching the summit and just uttering the words OHH I AM SO "STOKED". Hope to make it this year through @BikatAdventures for sure this July. PS:Beautifully shot video as it covers the whole journey from the base camp to the summit.

a. moderate trek need planning n acclaimatisation . I have done it at the age of 53 with my wife who was 48.go in small group for success.
