they sound different, but both sound great. the player is what makes it sound good, the guitar gives it a flavor.

In my personal opinion the Stratocaster sounds best. I really enjoy the reverb.
No other guitar sounds better or remotely as good as a strat. They are just built different, completely orgasmic sounding animals.
The reverb sounds just like it did on the wall, its a no brainer the strat is better
I preferred the strat, but not by a lot. The best part of this video was the playing. Fantastic to my ears.

Excellently played both times. I much preferred the strat although the p90 LP sounds more authentic.
Fun fact: On the original recording, David Gilmour played a Les Paul Gold Top (with P-90 pickups) direct into the mixing desk and then gated and compressed the signal, before running it back out again and into a Mesa Boogie Mark I Amplifier which was mic’d up and recorded…

They both sound amazing and the Strat really suits it but the P90s have that extra bit of mojo and range of tone.
Excellent brother, very tight and technical. A lot of people do covers, and they miss subtle things from the original, you nailed every single note.

The P90 is clearly more dynamic and bright. If you listen carefully the Stratocaster sounds a little muddy and dull in comparison. Both guitars sounds great though, and Guty Rodrigues does a great job playing.
Well sound resonates more freely through strat because its neck is thinner so idk its more suitable for this song than p90 in my opinion

The original was recorded on a les paul with P90s so the LP wins here but they both sound great. I usually play it on a strat
I must confess that I´m a fan of the P90s and that´s what I will always prefer, but the strat sounded great too. In this song in particular, it probably sounded more like the original by pink floyd. Anyway, there´s no reason to look for the best immitation of the original. I loved the p 90. And also, the skill of the guitar player is very important. You can play any song with any guitar and it will probably sound great. Congrats...

You can definitely hear the difference between the two back to back. Gilmour is a genius for switching up the tones.

The combo LP+P90 is what he used for the original recording. Funny how people seem to like the strat best, or seem to think the LP was an odd choice.
Awesome tones in both regards. I prefer the smothness of the LP+P90 though. Strat is very bright and is not my thing.

Amazing playing and one hell of a strat!
The strat gets the crisp highs and is just pristine but the p90's are so creamy you just sink into the solo, depends on your mood when listening, p90's are fat and rocky singles are crisp and solo y!! Just amazing playing, best I've seen.

Wow! Excellent playing, great feel for the bends and timing. IMHO: Those P90s are that tone. If you played live, both are awesome, but the P90s are just that much better.

If you like this, check out Guty's tribute to Chris Cornell - his cover of Black Hole Sun is the most emotionally expressive virtuoso guitar I've heard since Guthrie Govan on 'Drive Home' (Steven Wilson).
Definitely the most poignant tribute to Chris out of everything I saw. (In a way it makes sense; covering Cornell's vocals is up there with covering Freddie Mercury - to true fans of both, like me, it's simply impossible. The sorrowful notes Guty conjured on guitar, however...I don't know if ppl realize how perfectly he captured a particular emotional 'colour' of Chris's singing / songwriting (e.g. Nowhere But You, Moth, Fell on Black Days, Zero Chance, Seasons, Shadow on the Sun, etc).
