Thank you so much for your shared knowledge in this craft. Your videos have helped me immensely in my leather working and I look forward to every time I see that Corter Leather notification pop up in my RUclips notifications! I really like the addition of your vocal instruction as well, even though your silent videos are top-notch too!
So sick. Just got this one as the grab bag! Could tell since it was the same pattern. Love what you do and glad I could get a piece from one of the videos.
One thing I can say is that the work that he does is amazing. I always wondered if the actual product was as good as it looks on youtube. I can say that it is not. IT IS BETTER! I am impressed to say the least. Keep up the good work
Maybe doing a wallet specific stitching tutorial would be a good idea! You know how to stitch through that little opening at the bottom. (It can really help us beginners, to get that great finish that you do on al your pieces!). Great piece though, amazingly done.
Your title: Making a unique leather wallet My title: More little details most other people wouldn't even think of but which can make a *very* big difference in the quality of the piece
I like the pattern. I made one with the card slots the other way but I messed up because I glued the pockets to the outer panel. Duh!? So I'm making it again. Gotta get it right.
hey i noticed u do this cool saddle stitch with one needle and u like overlap the thread or something could u make a vid on that cool saddle stitch style and how to do it ???
What is the thickness of the leather you recommend for this type of wallet? :) You said one ounce, but all of them are one ounce? :) Please please respond! I just started leatherworking, and I bought two types of leather, one is thicker, and I can't make the wallets like I did with the thinner one :)
I really appreciate you walking through these videos from a more technical perspective. They're incredibly helpful. Out of curiosity, how do you make sure that you evenly punch out the middle section between the two pockets on the exterior shell? I've run into issues where my spacing isn't perfect as I punch that out, but you don't seem to have that issue. Thanks again for these videos!!!
Thanks! I'll use the largest chisel I've got to keep things straight, then at the end if it doesn't line up perfectly I'll freehand 2-3 stitches that are a tad shorter than the rest in the center where the wallet folds. When the wallet is assembled, the leather in that spot is always a bit folded so it stretches and makes all the stitches look even :)
@@Corter Awesome, that totally makes sense! I'll do that moving forward. By the way, you inspired me to start leatherworking. It's been a great hobby, so thanks for opening this up to so many people!!!
Contact cement (DAP, Weldwood, both available at Menard's). Rubber cement. The smelly stuff we used to make "snot" out of when we were kids. Yes, it's that easy.
Your channel is what got me to try leather work... thanks
I like this layout.
Exactly why I chose a wallet of this design by BV, presume yours is next level quality and attention to detail!
Really nice wallet, I think it's one of my favourite wallets you've shared.
Could you please tell me what is the best leather thickness (in mm) for this kind of work?

I did that same thing on a custom order. Kinda annoying but I’d happens. :)
you talk about punching your inside and outside pieces, i am afraid that they wouldn't line up when gluing them together?
first: i feel so relaxed after watching this. good job!
second: you TALK??
It's beautiful!!👍✨❇✴

Hi guys could you please do a video on making a leather mask👍
Can you explain what you mean when you say you "dont wanna be splitting seams" on the pockets? How do you punch holes around pockets?
U r legend sir

Do you still need help?
@@sterling1395 sure! any time is a good time! I now know from experience that I need 1mm for pockets and 1.2-1.4 mm for the cover.

Hi, I just bought this pattern May I know isit possible to add another t slot?
I would have benefited from more detail at the end on how to glue and sew the second side after the first was done.
For Malaysian Currency that’s perfect!
Can they made soft leather travel bag...i bought LV 55. Like the size n wright but not canvas material
That olive leather!!!!! 🤤🤤🤤🤤 where can I find that!?!
I think it's Minerva Box but honestly it's been hanging around the shop so long I'm not totally sure!
@@Corter Thanks for the response. I tried looking up "Minerva Box" on the Weaver website and nothing came up. Any other ideas?
@6:09 what size stamp do you use? Im looking at the electric custom stamping tools for 4cm but idk if thats a good size
Ready, lets go! 😀
This is awesome. I'm definitely going to have to make a few of these.
Love you brother from India gujrat Ahemedabad
‘There’s dog hair...’. Every time I bake ... 😊🐶🐶
Leather do you use to make wallet ?🙏
I've been trying to understand this for a while now, but why are the inner pockets T-shaped (or trapezoid-shaped)?
What is the thread color called? I'm trying to fine a dark olive, forest green
Is there another glue that would work? I don’t have the cement yet. Forgot to put it on my order.

How can i buy it? I found in your website but dont see it
what glue do you use?
I have the same skive knife from weaver and no matter how much I try to sharpen and strop I cannot get it to cut like that!!
lots and lots of practice - skiving is the thing that took me the longest to get down, it's just as much muscle memory as it is a sharp tool!
Thank you for the video. What happened to your left ring finger??
I just got my steak knives sharpened and cut myself doing dishes haha! I'm ok, just took of a little chunk ;)
Is that a Blockbuster card? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
What happened to the left-hand digit?
32nd.
Hi you are skiving king
What card stock do you recommend?
I usually just get whatever's heaviest and on sale as long as your printer will handle it, 100lb coverstock works well!
Haha! I was all "Dang it! I don't have any pattern plastic!" Then I saw the empty milk carton from breakfast...
👜👛👏👏👍👍😀😀
Can I buy that wallet off of you.... it is a very serious question...please..
Hey dose anyone know what oz of leather he's using?😊
It's in the pattern :)
@@Corter that's the thing I don't know if I'm going to make the wallet. I was just wondering cuz It looks like that oz works good for wallets😊
@@Corter Do I have to buy the pattern to know what leather to use? It does not say what mm in the description.
