I cant... Its my 3rd favourite album right after master of puppets. Rust in peace is just a bit better than both of them tho but i have only listened to this album like 5 times so it might grow on me even more

Whenever I'm in need of an energy boost, I put on this album because no matter how many times you've heard it before, it just keeps on kicking you straight to the teeth, one of my favourite albums of all time! The changes in tempo, overall heavyness in sound, accompanied by well written lyrics, ... many reasons you should like it too!

In my opinion, this is the best Machine Head album and a top metal record in its own right. I listened to it to death when it first came out.

All together Farewell is probably my favorite off this album if I had to pick just one or die lol. This album's definitely up there alongside the Master Of Puppets, Holy Wars and Reign In Blood.
I always listen to the last track of any album unknown to me first because in my taste these songs tend to be monsters.
My black ass was looking at kajagoo literally, and this popped up at the end of their Too Shy song and holy shit yall niggas good as shit

Not even a true machine head fan here (in the traditional sense) but this album has been in my top 5 metal albums of all time since i heard it wayy back around 2010. Its actually unbelievably good.
These guys absolutely blew the house down at Nottingham last night. There's no pit like a Machine Head pit

Holy crap this sounds real good. And sooo much variety and riffs in 1 song. Was always a big machine head fan. Can not believe I missed this album. It is awesome. Was in the days before digital downloads so I could not get hold of it.

That's questionable I would like to say I'm a big fan. But they will put out a bad ass album then turn around and completely miss the mark on there next album. Which is normal or better than most great bands. & You hear so many things about Rob Flynn. But there are other great musicians you hear stuff about and in the end what difference does it make ? As long as the music kicks ass. & When Machine Head hits the mark & puts out a great album. They really hit the mark and put out some bad ass music. The Blackening is a damn good album

I think it’s more the other way around since Machine Head predate Chimaira by many years. Machine Head had three full albums out before Chimaira put a single one out.

Machine head peaked with the 1994 Album Burn My Eyes it was viciously brutul but well orchestrated
Through the Ashes of Empires, The Blackening, and Unto the Locust are objectively better than Burn My Eyes.
