    Question: what do you do with the mini pcs when you finish filming the video? Do you use them for other projects or just keep them around?

      @TechnicallyUnsure  2 дня назад +4

      Good question, I use some of them, especially the ones that does have dual ethernet, or does have a good GPU (or sometimes CPU). Mediocre or cheaper ones, sometimes I give it to my friends who need it, remaining ones I just collect.

    Idling under 10 watts is pretty impressive for something this powerful.

    Sheesh, i3s are up to 10 cores now! Obviously, I've been under that rock far too long.

      AMD really put a fire under their butt since Zen 2. Before that Intel's "HEDT" chips usually peaked at 4 cores

    Can you do some performance tests again with dual channel memory? I saw a big performance improvement with LLMs on an AMD 8845HS by going from single channel to dual channel.

    If I had £$300 and wanted a good all rounder for the price, I would go for something like the GMKTec NucBox M6 or Minisforum UM760.

    Does it have In band ECC for the memory in the bios support?

    • @TechnicallyUnsure
      @TechnicallyUnsure  2 дня назад +1

      No, it doesn't support DDR5 and doesn't have ECC support.

    Specs state it supports maximum 4k60p, but users on reddit state it can go waaay beyond with displayport. Like double 4k with 120hz. Is this real?

    • @TechnicallyUnsure
      @TechnicallyUnsure  14 часов назад

      Correct. "Simultaneously supports up to three displays:
      One display with up to 4K resolution at 144Hz over the full-featured USB-C
      One display with up to 4K resolution at 60Hz over HDMI 2.0
      One display with up to 4K resolution at 30Hz over HDMI 1.4"

    Surprised Batman Arkham Knight didn't run. Tried setting enough vram?

    • @TechnicallyUnsure
      @TechnicallyUnsure  2 дня назад

      Didn't tweak with it at all, I just had it installed on the SSD from previous PCs I tested, tried to run it and it wasn't having it.

    • @TrusteftTech
      @TrusteftTech 2 дня назад +1

      @@TechnicallyUnsure Thanks for the reply. Then this might be the reason why it didn't run. Some games see the allocated VRAM and if it is bellow certain amount, they just don't run, or run with a warning. Only one way to find out I guess. Regardless, thanks.

    • @TechnicallyUnsure
      @TechnicallyUnsure  2 дня назад +1

      Very likely, I just double clicked on it and it didn't launch and also didn't show any errors

    • @TrusteftTech
      @TrusteftTech 2 дня назад

      @@TechnicallyUnsure Ok. You might want to think in the future videos to set the VRAM high enough to not be an issue for at least having the games run.
      Have a nice day.

    I'm waiting on a GMKtec M5 Plus to be delivered (Ryzen 7 5825U 8-core 15w, 2x SO-DIMM DDR4 64GB total, 2x M.2 NVME, WiFi 6E, BT 5.2, dual 2.5Gb/s LAN). Cheaper with 32GB and 1TB NVME.

    No they are all POS. Invest in a low end Lenovo Thinkpad with expandable ram, storage and WIFI / BT.
