I have learned this special topic in Vietnamese language, and now having great opportunity to study it in English literature from brother Pháp Lai. I’m happily taking notes and thankful for your insight and teaching 🙏♥️ Stream Of Peace, Australia 🇦🇺
Can I ask if anyone knows I am writing a research essay on Buddhism Especially I have already visited a Thai temple indeed the beliefs are the same? I know Vietnam and Thailand are very close as countries, if anyone is here first, either from Thailand, Vietnam or Asia, could you give me more information please? I would appreciate any information you have, and it will make my research more thorough
I am at minute 59 and I have a question. I wish I could discuss it with you over there... But okay I just mention it briefly here. If there is no self in any of the five aggregates, then how can "we" be connected with everything? This seems to be another idea, like the self, put on top of the emptiness of the five aggregates. I understand it refers to cause and effect, to the fact that many conditions come together every moment (dependent arising), but in that there is no "we" which is connected... Is there?
John Lavelle Is it an incomplete reply? Or some kind of sarcasm? Or an attempt to insult? The latter would be quite unwholesome! But in any case, I can only smile. Your words belong to you 🌼😊 I speak sincerely and respectfully about very alive questions I have in my practice, and in my life. And in general I discuss or share happily and respectfully about Buddha Dharma. I would like to invite you to do so the same 🙏
if we examine the constituents of each of the five aggregates we will not find anything that indicates a self. the aggregation as a whole is merely imputed as i, you, me. so emptiness does not refer to non existence but rather to being empty of inherent existence.
He didn't. He is in Plum Village Thailand. Since his stroke he didn't recover speech capacity, and one side of his body remains paralyzed. His mind is still very much here tough, and he can do a number of things with the help of the brothers and sisters who take very good care of him. (He turned 91 last october)
Stay, watch, recognize, let go, trust... Thank you very much for this inspirational talk.
Well said

Shouldn't we be careful, also, not to identify with the ideas "unborn and indestructible"?
