  • I recently have done multiple keynote speeches about vally winds in my local area here around Chabre, I though on making a shorter version for RUclips, hope this helps you to understand vally winds better.
Please note that in this video I am not taking in account large weather systems as they affect everything. The scenario I am talk about is where we have no major weather systems near by that would affect the local micro area. As this is impossible to explain in 10 minute video there are just too many things that affects any given day. I'm trying to cover the concept of how the local systems work based on terrain and Sun's heating.
Here's the link to sign up to the e-mail list to receive your copy of Chabre Challenge - www.flyingkarl...
Here's the track log I mentioned in the video - www.xcontest.o...
If you want to have more flight ideas with in detail weather and valley system explanation, I have written a book - Guide to Chabre.
You can get your copy here - shop.flyingkar...

Its not like i will be able to fly there anytime soon, but getting explained in such a visual way will help me to apply this to different areas of the alps as well.

Glad you liked it! The concept works the same all around the alps, sometimes it is a bit tricky to figure out the local intricacies, I hope this helps! Best of luck!
