    I enjoy watching you ladies! Congratulations to all the winners of the gifts, too! Acts of kindness are so admirable, and I’m not surprised that you opened your hearts to Fruity Knitting. I have always thought of you as being kind , and you did not disappoint. So happy that your sweater came out of time out! Looking forward to seeing all of your wips completed. I am hooked on knitting socks now, and have three pairs started. I’m not yet brave enough to do two at a time. I do a heel flap and gusset. I’ve finally mastered it! ( it only took almost a year of trying...ripping...and redoing.) Enjoy your next few weeks. Stay well. HAPPY KNITTING!

    Lorien, Many decades ago, I learned to line the front edges of a cardigan with lovely grosgrain ribbon to reduce the floppiness. Of course, the "yarn store lady" took care of the button holes for me---so there is that added effort. It is a beautiful finish found in better garments to this day. Blessings on the four of you for your cheerful, uplifting podcasts.

    You can prevent ladders by using TWO circular needles & cables (4 needles of the same size) at the same time, for sleeves, body, or socks. I have lots of interchangable needle sets (Chiagoo) which allows me to have multiple needles of the same size. This method keep that last stitch on a needle (not the cable) thus resulting in a normal sized stitch. No ladders.....

    I just found your podcasts about a month ago and have binging on them ever since! Thank you so much for donating to Fruity Knitting! I am learning so much from all of you and I admire your sweater choices so much. I think several of you mentioned that you are knitting instructors. I live in California near San Francisco and I find that wool sweaters tend to be too warm for me most of the year. I've notices several things in pattern photos. Most people seem to wear undergarments (t-shirts) with their woolen sweaters. Way to warm here to do that! And, necklines, for the most part are lower than I like. Can you answer two questions? What is a cooler substitution for wool for us hot blooded women and how can necklines be made to fit a little higher? Thank you so much for your podcasts!!!

    Lovely podcast! So happy that you gals contributed to Fruitty Knitting! I am knitting the Whitmoor sweater by Ami Lowden. Is a lace yoke sweater that is creating nightmares for me. I am not good knitting lace nor sweater! My markers are moving with yarnovers. I frogged the lace once and changed the markers to more dangling markers. However, the markers are still moving and creating confusion. I am half way through the lace and there are a ton of mistakes resulting in the last set of the design and count is off. How do I prevent the moving markers confusion? Does this happen to any one else? I don’t know how to put a lifeline in the round. So what will be, will be!
    Thank for sharing! Take care, be well, stay safe, and happy knitting! ❤️❤️

    • @Yarnloveturtle
      @Yarnloveturtle 3 года назад

      Yes - I have had that happen. I tend to find that once the pattern is established, it can be easier to skip the markers and just read the stitches. That is a lovely pattern.

    • @knittingpossect
      @knittingpossect  3 года назад

      I agree with Lorien. Read the stitches as the YO can cause the markers to float and really mess you up. (as you already know!) (Kate)
