The problem is the design of the compression plug. Toss it in the trash. Replace it with one like Colgano/Pinarello uses. Seriously. Top plug has to go with the plug.
Just trued a wheel for the first time using a Minoura truing stand, Park Tool Tension meter & spoke wrench. Also got some spoke prep on the way. Next i will be changing my name to Owen. No but fr thanks for all the videos. Got a lot of quality tools and information from them. Especially the wheel building videos were very helpful.
I had the same issue with my CAAD12. I ended up using a Specialized expansion plug, its 45mm deep, full circumference aluminum. This supports the whole ( thin as fuck ) Cannondale steer tube and allows you to clamp the stem without worry of distorting the steer tube. It also is deep enough to go into the top bearing ( if your stem is slammed ) and offers a noticeable increase in stiffness. Yes its heavier but totally worth the trade and no further issues..
Listening to Sandstorm unironically. Well done
Doesn't matter what you're driving, if you're listening to Darude - Sandstorm, you're #winning at life.
another cannondale disaster

As a former cannondale shop mechanic, I could personally see the build quality of cannondale carbon frame going down every year.😂
Haha, the difference between my 2012 and 2014 Evo was horrifying.
I think what you're trying to say is that the cannondale you have is a really quality product?
The steerer on my evo creaks when I tighten the stem down every other month. Wonder if the shop over tightened it.
Love your vids mate

Interesting info, cheers! Yeah my headset hasn't moved since I 'downgraded'. Those ultra light ones are pure shite.
