I'm more interested in seeing Windows running on phones natively, without compatibility issues because of ARM and with a full working Windows NT Kernel. Without the need of any VMs and optimized for phone user experience.
Windows 365 is not something that runs on the phone. It's a cloud PC that requires an adequate license to run 24/7 and can be accessed from anywhere using the Remote Desktop app.
I'm not saying it's never going to happen but Microsoft chased that dream for decades and it's just never worked yet. With the always connected nature of smartphones this cloud experience is probably going to be the best we get for a while, if it even works well 😅

More affordable? If your present computer is compatible your upgrade to Win 11 is free. Also, if it is not compatible you will need a new computer, that is hardware vendors hit not Microsoft's.

If they are planning to have cloud OS on subscription base, I want it to be affordable at that time.
I understand the concept between the phone and monitor. I am curious about connecting peripherals. This setup almost demands a docking station compatible with phones. It isn't something I would consider otherwise, but windows does use a lot of shortcut keys to efficiently utilize and there is a lot of office work requiring more than just a monitor and a (phone)trackpad. The use-case of this seems like it only assists office workers who need to jump on at a moments notice (or on the go) more than being a good permanent/long-term solution.
Windows 11 is excellent for high end PCs. For low end users like me, it's still a dream 😢what if they release copilot and it just lags my computer 😭wish I could test every feature of windows by myself 😢

I must be so behind compared to how windows wants me to be using their OS. I still use windows 10 on my desktop and laptop and currently using XP for a project I’m working on because it works best. Are these things a bad thing? Lol.
Will Microsoft retake the mobile phone market? It would be a great advance given the current context where big brands are stagnant and copying each other. If Microsoft managed to synthesize a proposal this year or in 2024 for the launch of new equipment, it would undoubtedly be an incredible and positive surprise. But in the meantime, I would settle for them to keep the Microsoft Launcher for Android updated, mainly in terms of gestures and accessible interface, to leave aside the use of buttons and make the experience more modern and organic.
This is literally like relying on someone else's Desktop to do personal work. 0% available offline, 0% privacy. Make it 100% offline, functioning locally on the phone like Samsung DeX, then we're talking.

Only data that you're ready to share with the next person on the street should be put on the public cloud. Everything else should be kept locally or on a private self-hosted cloud storage if you actually value privacy. There's a reason why it's stated in their terms of service (which you're likely ignorant about), something along the lines that by using their cloud service, you give them the right to release that data to law enforcement without your consent in case the need arises. How dumb do you have to be to still believe the data is private when they have ability to release it without your consent?
