Hi Sir I don't have the special locking tools for my 2013 ford explorer 3.5 engine and am trying to replace my water pump. But I noticed something that made me stop to seek help before I continue. Immediately I took my timing chain off the left side phaser I saw the phaser turning, why is that. Have i damaged my engine?

u know--i may try this tommorow---i think i getting piece of shit info from mitchell---tellin me to be over 1-2 teeth from dot on sprocket on LH cam that lines up with bolt on actuator------point is--your marks are showing different than the info i am getting
