When you dash by time you should refuse those orders that put you out of zone with a crappy return trip, but then pause your dash for 3 to 5 minutes depending to let another Dasher be assigned the order. That way they don't double penalize your acceptance rate

You can only refuse 1 per hour & you don't know b4 you accept it where it's even going.
This is WILD- I’m doing DD in Brandon (2 weeks), I JUST discovered today that hourly was in fact a total scam (I had been doing that thus far), and now somehow randomly stumbled on your video?!?!
I've tried EBT twice but the first order both times was ridiculous, so I've never tried it again 😕

It’s bad enough when they do it to our regular AR and it’s the exact same order (not even another quarter) but when you can only turn down one an hour or per dash or however often - like no. 🤦🏻♀️ but I get so many that are like way more than 13 miles like I have never tried earn by time for a reason and ours is 1525.

They stated earn by time this week in my area. The offer is 10.75 per hr. No way I'm doing it. In they past they have offered trips that are over 30 miles round trip. Hope they don't hold their breaths for me to take one of those.
I turn on uber eats. They want to send me to a food place 8 miles away and it is across the street from me. Are you kidding.
I am hacked. my uber eats tells me to turn left when its a right and its 100 percent of the time.

If the "Earn by Time" were to come to Los Angeles, which is less likely, I would do the "Earn by Offer" instead.
Also, I've started to reject any offers that pay below $1.50 per mile (not per order). In other words, for a 10-mile run, the offer must be $15.00 or more. I love driving, but not to be paid at a low baller rate. I value my time, effort, wear and tear on the car, and most importantly, dignity.
At this rate you are loosing money. 10 miles run will take you way out of any zone. So, gotta go back or to the nearest power strip. Personally I wouldn't take any long distance run if the payoff is less than $3 per mile.
I don't accept anything below $2.50 per mile.

Hi! Have you ever heard of this. I had an order to pickup from a grocery store. The customer calls me before I start to shop. Customer says that she doesn't want ANY item that she picked but she picked substitutions for every product. I had onions and she substituted air wick home freshers. Everything was completely random and I had to go back and forth all over the store. Called Doordash afterward and they said I should have called them before the shop and unassigned. Have you ever heard of this? Thanks

I'm doing temp doordash this winter because I own a food truck business.
I have a large vehicle to pull my trailer with. I tried the earn by hour mode and with the tips, I made about 21$ an hour. (Not great, but very steady). I didnt have to rush around so therefore, the gas didn't kill me.

i did dd earn by time- in my area its 16 bux and i figured just drive and make money. But it sent me down a tollway that was 6 dollars and they dont reimburse tolls so I lost money. drove 60 miles an hour 20 miles away and had to drive back??? WTF the order was 12 bux

Just curious if you or any of your listeners are experiencing this with customers removing tip after you complete order. Today I had 3 different orders where customers removed tip after I delivered their food, payout on those orders was only a little over $3.00, would have never taken order for that amount. I think some customers are learning without a tip no one is picking up their order to deliver?!?!? Thanks for sharing your experiences, love your videos… THANK YOU!

That's crazy in Washington State it's 18.75 an hour and when there are promotions it has gone up to 26.75 an hour
Their minimum wage is also $16/h. That's more than most states and could play a factor in it. If that was here if would've made that 13 miles worth it.
BUT its a fake hourly. its only when the food is in your car. That is not how hourly wages work. In my state dominos drivers get paid min wage-14 per hour while not actively on the road. On the road you get paid 8.65 plus 5 bucks per delivery plus tips and you drive a company car and not your own.
f the apps. my new plan = accept every order and then cancel it 5 mins later.

I'm on a mission to drop my AR. It went from 49% to 23% in the last 2 weeks. For research, I'll pop on to see what crap orders are available just to decline them. Then I hustle for the good ones by learning the best area and times😊 But I want the algorithm to know I hate upsidedown orders. Gotta be at least $2/mile for me to consider it. Or benefit me by taking me back to base or to an errand.

I deliver sammiches to make money in the long run and it's more profitable for me in my market by about $5 an hour just to go with the flow and work EBT, your market might be different.

Earn by time only work when your area doesn't give good tips. If your area is known for giving good tips, you'll make a lot more by doing per order.
yeah you may make less than min wage- the taxes arent taken out, You have to pay 2x social security plus the damage done to your vehicle.
I heard Uber pays better and they pay for your gas miles

My zone just added Dash by Time this month. First day I accidentally picked it and so far it's been okay.
I do get runs I normally wouldn't take but the time makes up for it and the absolutely no stress is awesome. Red light?...No problem! 😅 My zone typically pays between 18-22/hr though so a couple tips and I'm 30+

Door dash is a scam and all you door dash drivers still dash and complain about. Okay fair enough complain about it but why not go get another job? You make more money in a daily job then you ever would by dashing. But yet people that drive gig work wanna make what normal job pays. Naw it never will.
