A dice driven sudoku :D Joke aside, it is unbelievable how complex this game is, containing only a big notebook and 5 dice. You just need a bunch of pencils and a big eraser, obviously. I am really impressed how it captures the spirit and the tough choices of the original game. And yes - it seems addictive :) Great runthrough, rahdo, thanks again.
I understand why you like this game. It is very addicting. I just received it today along with a few other games and I haven’t moved past playing this one yet.
Thanks for the video. I accidentally bought this from Amazon when I thought I was getting the board game. 😮 Great playthrough to help learn/clarify the rules.
Your best move for the last era would have been using the blue 6 to complete your waterway, giving you another 4 points. Looking at 18 points instead of 14, since you were so excited for Jen you forgot your own move lol.
Went in to this thinking sure, I’ll watch it, even though I know I won’t buy it. Sort of interested though. Rahdo, would this replace Roll Through the Ages for you?
I was excited by this, and the gameplay looks good. It's a shame they went ultra cheap on the dice (I thought they we early prototype versions until I noticed them in the box), rendering the game unplayable. Considering how the dice are used, the lack of iconography on them is utterly rediculous.
been running them since april, since moving back to the states radically increased our cost of living due to healthcare and other stuff (internional move is obviously very expensive as well)
Overall I don't really understand why excellent, and in this case a nearly perfect euro, needs to be broken down into dice and card games. Leaves me, shall we say, uninspired.
what's wrong with a sweet little 15 minute game that you can play anywhere that has a nice burgundy feel? sounds awesome to me (since it is, in fact, awesome) :)
You are unnecessarily limiting yourself with the purist mentality. One does not eat steak for all courses of a 7 course meal. Sometimes you just need an appetizer or a palate cleanser. Having finally got this thanks to Rahdo's mention on another video (thank you, Richard), I can attest that this is a fun experience. If there are several games already on the docket and there isn't time to squeeze a full game of original CoB in, this is a great alternative in between games or as an opener.

Great game. Taught my wife how to play on a plane to Hawaii and she loved it

Rahdo, you're such a cool dude. Thanks for all you do!
Nice Runthrough! Best viewed at 0.75 speed.
What else is new? I drink a double italian espresso and then it is perfect :)
turn 3 jen should build on row 2 spot 4 ...this give accesso to the northern mine
I looked at it and though that it could easily come back to bite Rahdo. The next turn: missed turn
Thanks man!
Can you buy additional sheets? (It's always something I think about with roll and writes and one reason I've never bought one.)
no idea. you can always laminate a few when you're getting low though :)
I laminate any score sheets straight away, having being able to wipe clean and play again is essential
Is that an IKEA pencil? 😁
dunno... they come with the game
Was it my imagination, or did Rahdo skip his own turn the last round of the first era?
It was already noted... Like Rahdo says at the start of the video, please turn on the Klingon subtitles to see where Richard goofs up… Thanks

Rahdo, would this replace Roll Through the Ages for you?
i'm keeping both. if you forced me to choose one or the other, that'd be very tough and i would grab both and run out of the room :)
Love this game. But the notepad is too thin for me =__=
22:00 Richard did not do an action is the last round of era 1.
check the klingon subtitles :)

It’s a shame they didn’t think of that. Nothing a sharpie can’t fix though
What's wrong with the dice?
Oh is it because it's not color blind friendly?
hmm, could be...
Yeah, symbols would be simple to add and help with colourblind people.
Pandemic legacy season 2 first impressions?
if all goes to plan i'll film final thoughts in the next couple weeks. only 3 more games to go...
Wow first time I ever saw ads on Rahdo's channel. depressing...
been running them since april, since moving back to the states radically increased our cost of living due to healthcare and other stuff (internional move is obviously very expensive as well)
understood. hope u can keep the channel going my friend
i like this game, but ! the big problem i have with any burgundy game is,its just too much simple,so simple game system,i like it more challenging

yes, it just seems adulterated to me, just my personal opinion

you are probably right
