Sorry, I heard you had fusion over T11~L2, is it 3 discs of 4 vertebrates joined together... was it a one-time injury?
actually I am going to have a L5-S1 fusion and I am very worried that I have to do it again for adjacent discs... have you had any MRI checks through out these 10years see how adjacent discs are going? sorry for being a bit forward....
I am now 44 years old.... like work-outs so for sure I will lift weights in the future even my spine is fused...
    thanks..........

nike roy Yes; 4 vertebrae. I’ve had other neurological issues come up from having bacterial meningitis, so I have MRI scans done every couple of years just to make sure nothing else has popped up. All good around the fusion so far, but other parts of my spine are getting inflamed and stressed now such as my neck, but that happens when you alter the spine. Good luck to you with your fusion! I’ve had a lot of positive anecdotes of people with very successful outcomes with your levels. Best wishes!

How are you doing these days? Still a lot of researches is going on pros and cons of spinal fusion and some researchers say that spinal fusion can end up weakening adjacent vertebrae after 6-10 years.
That is why I am lost between fusion and artificial disc replacement.
