I know that many people have pointed it out already, but I'm glad, both Latvia and Georgia have finally qualified for the Grand Final after 7 long years of staying in the semis.
Belgium is a prime example of having absolutely stunning song and ruining it with terrible execution. I'm so disappointed, that was one of my three favourite songs.
@@Lagiacrus1996She takes meds every 3 hours in the hope to be better in the finals. Its not easy to sing and dance with throat inflammation and fever though.
These results confirm that the televote is reasonable enough to be trusted to vote alone in semi finals. It’s clear that voters are still able to care about quality of vocals and on-stage execution without overindulging bad safe songs; the televote doesn’t seem as forgiving as we might’ve assumed. Sad to see Belgium and San Marino go but I can’t blame the public for blanking them. I guess Austria must’ve been performed well enough to counterbalance the vocal issues, so fair enough. Sad for SM since it was 100% a technical issue, and sad for Belgium because it was a good song mishandled. I’m still surprised that all ballads (except Belgium) have made it through with the public alone; hard to make a case for juries anymore.
I feel bad for Belgium....Mustii definitely strained his vocals and he tried his best, but i feel like it was a combination of different factors (strained vocals and weird camera angles) that kinda screwed Belgium in the qualification department
Marina Satti had fever last night while she was singing and was on meds every 3 hours for all day yesterday and she was nervous. She actually said that.
In general I'm okay with the selection. Off course Latvia was surprising but it's still a good song. Maybe I have refocused a bit because itś not only the funny, or upbeat songs. For me there are three songs with winner potential: Ukraine, Switzerland and Norway.
You know what? When everyone expects the show to be over, Belgium's Mustii will come in 27th with an acoustic version and show the world what he can really do.
STAY MAD, AUSTRIA MADE IT! WOOOOHHHHHH! Belgium was off vocally, Malta was meh, and San Marino was off too... can't be mad on who voted hard out for Kaleen! GLAD LATVIA IS IN!
@@AlesiaMichelle My comment is more directed to those who would be upset at her qualification! Grilling us Ravers from April! imo it makes sense. It was one of the three ballad-esque songs and it was just better vocally delivered than Belgium and even the colonizer state. It makes sense that it made it.
I'm starting to get worried that Israel might actually win and I'm not here for it. They'll probably get an inflated, Ukraine-like televote score since it's easier to vote for a country than to vote against it and their song is more jury friendly than Stefania.
If people wanted a dance song, Malta was better than Austria. Sarah's vocals were way better and also had dips and flips. Malta did everything right and at this point didn't qualify simply because its Malta. BRING BACK THE JURIES.
Is this the first year where the actual BEST SONG didn't make it? Unbelievable. I know the staging and vocals were not on point but still... Devastating for Mustii, I feel for him, he's talented. When they first announced Latvia and Austria, I knew it was over...
@@AlesiaMichelle girl thats so hypocritical. Kaleen is dancing and singing at the same time, Joost is just shouting and you think that deserves to qualify more? Byeee
@@AlesiaMichelle I agree with alesia here. And I’m from The Netherlands. Our song doesn’t require good vocals at all, which is why it was still delivered so well. Together with the staging, and his stage presence. Everything was just executed so well, and I also think he had the hardest applause at the end. 👏🏼 And yet I don’t really care for our song still 😂. I don’t like the meaning of the song (not talking about the end of the song), however I don’t like the fact he used that part as the recap. But hey, if he’s gonna get a good placement I’m all here for it. Austria however, was my all time favorite of this contest at the time all the countries were releasing their songs. I just love the song so much. But when I saw the live package yesterday, I was hugely disappointed. I was expecting a “Fuego” spectacle. But the vocals were just nog delivering and also I expected more choreography to be honest. They didn’t deliver what they were promising us. And this song actually requires good vocals regardless of the fact she’s dancing at the same time cuz she is actually singing. And there are multiple artists inside OR outside this contest who have proven that dancing and singing with a stable voice at the same time is actually possible and Kaleen is just not capable of that unfortunately. Unfortunately Austria isn’t my favorite to win anymore, but I still hope she does well! There are actually some songs that I didn’t have anything with, but surprised me so hard in the live shows. That just proves studio cut isn’t everything and the whole package altogether makes one song stand out. I’ll have to see what country/song I’ll be rooting for the most now. (Maybe Switzerland 🤫), can’t wait for Saturday!
@@jasperjasper7224you’re either joking or being delusional. Austria was my favorite to win and I was ready to root for her. But after yesterday’s performance, I was so disappointed. I'm so hapoy for Nutsa and Dons!
After 7 years they qualified together 🇱🇻 🇬🇪 ❤
Same here. Kudos to them. They really deserved it after all these years.

Thank God❤
Glad you did.
Our spirit is always to pick ourselves up and just keep striving forwards and im glad LTV does that and not just withdraws

Shock of the night was Latvia being the first country being a qualifier I screamed
Guys you don’t understand that marina Satti from Greece was sick while performing (with fever etc )
Ok, still it was weak. It needs to be better on Saturday.
