I stopped buying most decks from Ebay, as I unknowingly bought a couple of knockoffs decks. However, it did give me the idea of buying a few mini decks as a preview of the decks I'm unsure of purchasing. It's worked out really well. I've ended up buying most original/full size decks after looking through the mini.

Most of my tarot decks are original but I will say I do have a few knock-offs for the simple fact that I have super tiny hands, and it's uncomfortable to shuffle some of the original tarot decks I have.
I did find a way to do it, which is to hold the decks upright, so that I can get a grip on them... But that's uncomfortable as hell sometimes, because they are hard to shuffle like that.
Usually what I do is I buy the knock-off and the real one, because morality reasons. Or I buy the knock-off first, if I don't have enough money at a certain time, and need a little bit of magical self-care, but when I do get the money, I also buy the original.
I will say that the decks I use to communicate with my deities are all original, though, because I think they have a much better energy. My deck I use to communicate with Loki (he's sort of my patron deity) is the Yggdrasil tarot deck, which is huge. A pain to shuffle but Loki gets a good laugh outta it so it's ok. :-))
But yeah, even if I have the original decks, for personal readings and stuff I use the knock-offs, and the originals I kinda keep for displaying purposes. In terms of actual spiritual use I never felt like the knock-offs aren't decent tools, but I don't want to steal from the artist.
I understand what you are saying, but knock offs are a huge reason why so many creators are leaving the tarot deck creation world. Plagiarism is a huge problem. Please do not buy these decks as it just encourages the counterfeiters to keep making them.
Believe it or not, this just popped up on my recommendations feed. I'm not surprised; I've recently realized I didn't have the same Lightseers that online readers were using and I've been on a hunt to find the "big" version. Thanks to you, I got a wonderful lesson on knockoffs (as the mother of musicians, I am concerned about piracy of every kind) and used your link to Chris-Anne's REAL deck. It's in my hands and I have one word: DELICIOUS!

I kinda like the way the knockoff looks more. I also didn't really know about knockoff decks - but now you're making me think the crystal unicorn deck I bought on Amazon is most probably one too.

i did not realize that knockoffs were a thing, i am very new to tarot. I just ordered this set on etsy because I thought it would be better to shop small and now I am worried it's not real. Based on the pictures that the seller has (I haven't received it yet) it looks real. so here's to hoping

Let's talk about the term "knockoff". To be precise we are talking about an illegal deck that has been pirated and is in copyright infringement. Don't try to downplay the illegality of the sale of these decks.

Got the knock-off first and I had to get the original ones. Tho I will be using the knock off to build my own little journal using the small deck with card meaning that are not in the guide book . Like love meanings money meanings health color meanings elements and so on.. so exited to start this project!

I am so glad that the Light Seers tarot deck a client gave me to use was the original glad and not the knockoff because I made an unboxing video and I would have felt awful knowing I made a unboxing of a knockoff!! 😅
az being intuitive the image matterz due the image givez MORE to wut iz being picced up on. the detail of the card drawn givez U itz on addition to wut iz bein felt n said. each deck haz itz own MEANING despite our general base interrupting from rider AND our own personal meanin within our deccz. so itz very relevant 👍🏽thxz for the upload 🫶🏽 and i have these deccz az well😊
so glad that I found you, I just got my deck from Hay House, and I love the deck! I did wonder about tarot decks I have purchased from Temu ( they have a ton of decks) they are smaller just like you have. I just thought they had pocket sized versions, lol. I am new to purchasing them. The downside is the pdf download, I prefer the actual book. Now I now my Goddess of Power Oracle deck is a knockoff, the card quality is not very good.). pray you are having a wonderful day.
I have the "real" one but def buying the knock off being I'm sure its easier to shuffle as my "real" copy the card stock is so stiff it causes my fingers to bleed and because of that I've never been able to enjoy this beautiful deck. Glad I found this!

I bought it before I knew there is a knockoff version and when I knew i start watching reviews and when I clicked the link to see if I bought the right one- WOW my heart was beating so loud i was scared 😭 - thank god I bought the original one - i live so far away and the shipping is taking forever am relieved 😅

If you buy it straight from Hay House, they often have sales and deals on their decks. They also sell the Moonology and Native Spirit decks, and many of their decks are available for a seven day trial as an app so you can look them over really well before you buy.

I recently ordered this deck and was excited about it until I found out it was a fake one, now I’m waiting on both, I’ll return the fake one cause I don’t like the lack luster in the color and it was only $10 more for the real one, last time I try to be cheap. Oh Thank you for your honest review.
I run an online store and people message me all the time having gotten decks from other places asking why theirs is so small or didn't have a book and if I have an extra. I usually refer them to the publisher

I've used the real Light Seers deck as my daily driver for the past 2/3 months and I can assure you the card stock is not brilliant on the true deck either. I mean I do 4/5 readings daily but I've got a 17 y/o deck that looks better 😅

Perhaps and unpopular opinion here (and plagarism issues and crappier box and cardstock aside) but I actually prefer the knockoff Lightseers deck because I have small hands.
I have small hands too but part of being a Tarot reader is learning to appreciate the authentic Deck and work with it. There shouldn’t be an alternate option where the artist doesn’t get paid. They intended the decks to be made the way that they are. It is an artistic choice and out of respect for and the artist, the least we can do is work with the product The artist has created for us and give them payment in exchange for their product.

I would no worry too much about the finishing details, colours and stuff like that, but about the energy the fake copies carry with them. I have seen Chris Ann interviews and she is sush a lovely soul, she puts so much love on her card decks and you can feel it through the cards when you buy the original and do readings…. Whereas, when you buy the fake decks, the energy is so heavy, the readings don’t come up as usual, I feel some sort of disconnection from my guides doesn’t matter how much I sage them and clean them…. Maybe it is just me, but I ended up giving the fake ones I had to some girls to play with… 🙅🏻♀️
As I see in a lot of the comments, I never would have thought it was knock off cards . Ordering from Amazon they actually have a lot of knock offs , very disappointing so now I just go directly to the creator or publishing House website to purchase . I have a few duplicate decks once I realized some were knocks offs. Me myself have pretty large hands and still prefer the smaller cards though .

I’m sorry I think it does matter. Because this is someone’s IP. This is their art their ideas if you made something and someone stole it and made money from it, it would piss you off. The people who don’t care need to wake up because if they don’t support the actual artist the tarot card makers won’t have money to bring other decks to mass markets. Knock off tarot decks piss me off and the people who don’t care piss me off too. I found Pamela Chen’s Crystal Unicorn Deck on Etsy for 12 bucks. I was excited so I bought it. I was shocked that it was coming Vietnam and I knew I had been scammed. I found Pamela’s store and paid her the full price and got the deal deck. I loved supporting it. The actual deck was beautiful. I gave the knock off to a student. Come on folks if you don’t support the actual artist you need to wake up.
I just brought this deck and decided to look at reviews before it arrives (I know I probably should have done do beforehand). Hopefully it’s not a knock off but luckily the website I brought it off has a very good return policy so I’m not too worried.

Because an artist is having their work stolen and copied and get none of the profit. Many decks that are plagiarised are from indie artist who have the decks printed themselves. Do you advocate theft?

Coming from an Artist myself, the idea of knockoffs decks is upsetting due to the amount of energy and time that goes into every cards artwork and descriptions. Please don't buy knockoffs beautiful beings, the true energy of the cards lies within the authentic deck 💕

I got conned first time around so I have both. Though the fake one is 'sh!tty'(sorry for the language, but angry and for the lack of a better word to describe the feeling of betrayal😤), the size was ironically better for my tiny baby hands
If you come across any tarot deck that is advertised as 'pocket sized' it is most likely counterfeit. The majority of tarot decks are not made in playing card size. Always double check if the deck you are buying is supposed to be playing card size, most are not.

This is so dissapointing =( I really want this deck but everywhere I look, the costumer review photos seem to be the fake one.
That is false my love. On my review video of this deck I have the Amazon link to the REAL deck. When buying from Amazon just double check that it is being sold by the actual artist. It should have a whole lot of sales and tons of reviews. If the seller on Amazon is a random third party name or some weird misspelling of the artists name and they have very few sales/reviews, those are huge giveaways of a fake. Always buy directly from the artist, publisher’s website or Barnes and Noble. It just takes diligence. Don’t buy from AliExpress or Wish, and 8 times out of 10 Etsy sellers will be selling knockoffs bc they’re cheaper to buy in bulk to have in their shop. (That’s why I personally chose the more expensive route and purchased authentic RWS decks for my shop in a very small quantity. Authenticity means more to me than sales but I can’t say the same for all Etsy sellers. 🤷🏻♀️)
It's sad that amazon is selling the fakes too. They should not allow and block those sellers.
I am super picky about my decks, I try to avoid decks made in China LoL I see so many knockoffs with DL instructions and crappy boxes

She thinks she is not biased. But she is totally opinionated😂😂😂 I just bought the knock off from China for 7€ and I love it. Because the deck is so contemporary I wasn't sure I can connect - especially with all the black people. But it is really great. I might buy the original😃
