I love the finished top you made and the one you're working on for your son is so cute. I am generally monogamous knitter, so I understand the slow making process.

Yay a new Mel video 😊. Lol Mel moving the plastic in the middle of the video is everything 😂. I love all the knits! I’m definitely going to check out some of those books. My Ghibli season 1 yarn arrived and my spooky summer yarn is on the way. Can’t wait to knit up my next project 😊. Big supporter from Toronto 🧡

Not a horror novel, but a spooky book (with a haunted forest) I am reading right now -- which is super good so far: Small Angels by Lauren Owen

The Spear Cuts Through Water was my favorite book this year, I'm glad you enjoyed it! Have you read The Empress of Salt and Fortune? It has some of the same vibes, but a little cozier

I'm going to read Belladonna by Adalyn Grace with a friend as a very low commitment buddy read because we are also parents at the whim of our families. And for a fun fluffy read while I'm on a airplane this October, My Roommate is a Vampire by Jenna Levine.

You could make a striped tolsta tee to match, I think it’s just stockinette.

If you like the science take on creature horror and the jargon and sort of science dumping of Into the Drowning Deep, I also suggest Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton and Devolution by Max Brooks. These both are very similar, IMO, as far as feeling like reading actual accounts of these encounters and making you feel smarter for following along because you feel like you're keeping up with the sciency big brains (even though, it's probably really dumbed down concepts and it's just the use of jargon that makes it feel like you could keep up with the experts).
If you like the vibes of Into the Drowning Deep, I recommend Dead Silence by S.A. Barnes and the Luminous Dead by Caitlin Starling. This are harder for me to articulate what makes them feel like comps, but when I think of one, I think of the others.
I gave all 5 of these books 5 stars, and they're all in the same theoretical folder in my mind.

Love your Flores! And had a great time watching. You got so much done. Little ones sure keep you busy but they're fun! All the best, Kimberly

Beautiful knits! Not exactly spooky but an excellent read about a werewolf lore and family, Wolfsong by TJ Klune. I really loved the character development!

Lovely episode! You've single handedly influenced me to make a Flores, but I'm waiting for my Ghibli Season 2 order to come before I start :) I'm always amazed at how much you read, I'm just so slow at reading but I haven't tapped into the audiobooks much

Can you link the Goodreads account? I don’t see it in the description 😢
