dont think there are any permanent exp farms since u are only given exp from completing field guide challeneges and quest (unless there is a repeatable quest)

top right of the map there's a battle arena and you can battle waves of spiders for xp, just change the difficulty to story mode

It may be poaching but according to Deek, the shopkeeper actually works to home these beasts with safe and loving families. Hopefully that’s better than what actual wizard poachers do to them lol.

After catching I first go to the room of requirement and brush feed them for instant upgrade materials. Then pick them up in your inventory and sell them at Hogsmeade.

I was level 27 before I unlocked the nab sack and was lvl 22 when I unlocked talent points .. It Soooooo eazy to get side tracked by exploring

me too. i keep selling them all the time, i only keep the ones that give me the highest boosts, and i don't even "look" like i wear them-- i always change their appearance to either invisible (hats, gloves and glasses) or default school uniform (clothing, robes and scarves) 😂
Best Tip: change difficulty to story mode for instant nabsack captures! It gives the same XP and it saves time!

This is such a fact, why didn't I subscribe as soon as I clicked the vid..
I accidentally made a ton of money and gave myself an advantage in fights too.
When I started I did loads of exploring and smaller quests, and fighting minor baddies, mainly thinking it was good practice for later, but mostly I couldn't decide what order I should be doing things in to advance the main story. I was up to about level 14 before I even started the main quest. So out gunned most of the baddies I came across in the early stages of that. Also have loads of money for seeds and potions. So I wouldn't worry about making loads-a-money, just don't rush into the big fights.
As far as I can see there isn't really a time line in Hogwarts, you can take as long as you like to get around the tasks.
At one point, when I went for a day trip to the south coast seaside, I came across the fight arena and entered it not realising I couldn't get out until I killed loads of things. I had so many spells and clothes upgrades they couldn't really hurt me much, I came out of that with a huge XP upgrade. (I wont be going in again though, it gets hectic in there).

@@louisn1368 A lot of the chests have 500 (coins or what ever they are) so I did loads of those early. Also selling clothes mounts up quite quickly.
The creatures you capture, you can get a lot more than you need for the vivarium, so sell the excess animals.

@@louisn1368you’ve probably already figured this out, but yes you do acquire the nab sack in a main story mission. I also tend to level up myself and gather as much money/materials as I can before diving into the main quests full force. What you should do is focus on completing the assignments the professors give you so that you can unlock more of the spells, then complete enough main missions to get you to the room of requirement and vivarium. By that point you’ll be leveled up and able to take on most enemies more easily, so that’s probably the ideal time to really start exploring. I love exploring, but I really love it when I’m in good shape and can take on any enemy or complete any sort of puzzle that may require a certain spell that you get in the main story so that I’m able to do anything and everything I want to do without being underpowered.

there's also a tree nearby (the one you see as you look down to the castle)
were a few Jobberknolls also spawn so you can catch them as well before you go to the area with the Puffskeins

And from what I've seen the jobberknolls take two captures, but the mooncalfs take 3 captures.
Just want to add that the mooncalf nest is better. With the pufferskein I wasn't able to make them respawn reliably, but with Mooncalf I just do Levioso or Glacio on them and capture them. There's about 8-10 per night and they respawn 100% reliably
Rotate between the west manor cap puffskein den and the one around hogsmeade, they spawn very reliably, and you can get more. Plus there easier to farm. (the den near hogsmeid gets 11-13 and the other gets 4-6)
Using the disillusionment spell “hiding” with the accio “retrieve “ spell with the nab-sac in a spell set worked really well for me.
I think accio woudl be more humane I just been freezeing there bloodflow until there in the nabsack

I don't look at it as poaching. I see it as entering the pet trade. I keep wild caught tropical fish in a luxury aquatic apartment where they are well fed and live long happy lives with no worry of predators
Most villains don't look at their actions as 'evil' either. I'm sure the poachers also feel like they're in the 'pet trade' if it makes them feel better. But the fact remains, we originally work to stop poachers from removing animals from the wild, and then become exactly like them. I'm sure many of them also sell their animals for profit, to help fund their nefarious activities. So no matter how you look at it, it is STILL poaching; you're taking animals from the wild to make a profit.

It’s easiest just to cycle through back to night while you’re at the mooncalf den, and just keep getting mooncalves until your inventory is full. Also, getting sprint while disillusioned helps get close to them more quickly
Good advice. I like to use the teleport talent, because it's the fastest for me to capture them
quick note, catching the puffs, if you stay far back as you capture they wont run, keep them at the edge of your cast range

Um, under Ministry law, its evident Ellie is licensed or else she would have already been caught. Thus we are not poachers as we are employed by her and making us under Ministry authority. Not to mention its protecting the creatures as we ensure they are kept safe by somebody rather than the poachers who clearly abuse and kill them, Ellie doesn’t. Plus you have the fact that leaving them in their natural habitat would be worse as they are under constant danger from the actual poachers, and the Ministry has laws in place to capture creatures when they or wizard-kind lives are in danger.
Creatures prices should have varied, I don't think I'd sell a Grabhorn for the same price and a Mooncalf

I believe by going back to the room of requirement you can negate having to wait 24 hours for the spawns to reset.
There’s a castle in the forbidden forest that has loading screen, I just go in there and go back for unicorns and mooncalf

You dont have to travel to other spots. You can just stay at the mooncalf spot, collect all 8 on story difficultly, then wait for morning, then wait for night again in the map. They respawn each time.

At some point you don't need money anymore. You can grow and craft everything yourself. During the early hours it is really valuable, though, in order to buy those conjuration spellcrafts for the room of requirement.
Just travel back and forth between puffskin dens. They're easier to catch than mooncalves and they actually respawn as soon as you travel away from the area.
Hogwarts is perfect representation of the economy, HS kids with no jobs having to buy expensive things to live 😂😂
How to get rich: Be a hunter and catch all animals till they extinct.

You are the first streamer I've seen, who talks about this practice, and actually says the "P" word... poacher. Because that's exactly what you're doing... no better than the villains we work with others to stop. I like how some players make themselves feel better about this practice by saying they are just 'in the pet trade', which is a nice way of saying, "poacher" IMO. That's what poachers do, they steal animals from the wild to sell or otherwise use to make profit to fund their activities. I'm fine with it, but let's not beat around the bush and just call it what it is. The game encourages hypocrisy to the extreme... we work to stop poachers and yet become one ourselves. We work to stop dark wizards, and become one ourselves with all the use of Unforgivable curses with no repercussions. They talk about choices, and yet in reality, punish us (less gold, less damage) by not doing the "evil" things. Although the precedent is already in the series... with Harry using two Unforgivable curses and Ron also attempting Avada on Nagini... all with no repercussions. I just found it odd that the game pushes us towards the dark side and seems to punish players who want to play completely honorable.

Just enjoying the power of the starting spells much as confringo and glacius and now it's time to tame beasts.. lol i thought they only let us to be a Dark Wizard.. but they let us be poachers as well.. they really let us be the baddest son of a Merlin in this game.. really love it.. still 18 hours of playing.. it came out in early 2023... where me as a Fitness coach having the busiest time of my life.. still making time for the game cause it's worth it. I have to say i enjoy this more than God of War Ragnarok. I finished GOW, but i'm pretty sure even if i finished Hogwarts Legacy, imma keep playing.

I find the puffballs easiest cause there's a huge den of them right outside hogsmeade and they only take one button press to catch. I just farm that and the ones in the forbidden forest

There is another puffskein den at the west manor cape floo location, located in the manor cape region
crazy bc im level 16 (100 attack and def) and ive only just received the fire spell (still havent been to restricted section). I went up just exploring the castle, hogsmeade and areas around them. Looks like Im a good ways off from this but cant wait. Love how there is so much to do!

@@mibusuzaku I'm 24 also have completed a total of 70 missions with a bunch of side. 25% in collections. Almost all spells THAT COUNT for the achievement. And im not at it yet. I thought I missed it.. Still kinda think I did.
@@mibusuzaku I looked up main quests im on 31.. Based on the one persons comment it starts at high keeper which is 39. But you get shadow of the mountains right after 31 so it might be 32 till 39.... Which is alot. And like 97% done the game. There's like 4 main quests. So im still confused.. But we will find out when I finish this quest. Which will be tonight as I'm not on.

this is the one aspect I think is very lacking in this game, the money system, this is the first RPG I've seen were 4 hours in you still only have 50 of the game's currency any other game by this point you'd had at least 1,000 and it would make sense if say your regular health potion would be like 5 galleons but no, they cost 100, it's pretty rare to see RPG so stingy.
I feel bad doing this but here's how I roleplay..I do poaching for few galleons at the start but realise how bad it is, so I become the protector of those lovely extinct beasts hunting poachers with the help of Poppy just like the Dumbledore who became the protector of muggles after his sister died.

U can just hunt eye chests, 500 per one, u could get 6500 in hogsmeade for the start it's nice. But i went just exploring the world doing demiguieses and got 16k without noticing

After you get all 3 rooms in the room of requirements for the animals, then you can just breed them. Breed a bunch of animals in all the rooms at once and then go do a mission, come back and do it again so on and so forth. You won't have to go on long searches and it doesn't take that much longer than this method. The real upside is just being able to grab them all at once.

As much as I'd like more coin for Room of Requirement things I need like seeds and potion ingredients, I'm not sure it's worth it to sell the beasts I'll be expected to protect when I reach that point.

You're way over the poaching line
Heres an easy guide because games are horrible at pointing out what is poaching and what is hunting.
When you catch or hunt just enough to supply your needs or even your family or towns needs, that is hunting.
If you hunt and trap just enough to sell to make an honest living that is hunting.
And keep in mind that you waste no kill and use every resource you can from your prey.
However when you find yourself taking out entire herds of animals, taking only the hides and leaving the meat to rot, (this happens because hides are more portable and the most valuable part) and selling all of it in order to become independently wealthy, thats poaching.
The whole idea of paying the kings tax in order to hunt his deer or (buying tags) is just arbitrary made up bullshit. Thats why we share deer meat.
Then your character after spending years on poaching the animals due to the amount of times you have to wait 24hrs for respawn, holds the record for the oldest student to ever graduate from Hogwarts at the ripe old age of 55 😂😂😂😂
Many people that play this game really don’t understand what it means to be a poacher, you aren’t poaching any of the animals and this can be verified by Ellie’s bio. Ellie did once deal in magical creatures, selling them to certified good homes with licenses, but she stopped. She would get diricawl owners demanding a refund as the birds naturally disappear all the time, fwooper owners going bonkers from the bird’s cries, and kneazel owners returning to her angry if their kid got so much as a flea, the snowflakes. Thus she stopped dealing in them and became licensed under the Ministry to keep the animals. Now she only collects their byproducts to sell when they molt, shed, etc. Then you have our character, we can’t be a poacher as we are being paid by Ellie, making us an employee of some sort, thus we now fall under the laws and clauses governing the handling and keeping of magical creatures and are exempt from being a poacher. Not to mention there are laws to protect and move the creatures should they be in danger, just as there are laws verifying that some creatures are illegal to own based on their level of danger. Players really need to look into this stuff before they start talking, speaking on a topic that one hasn’t done research on can cause a lot of problems. I’m glad, instead of you outright saying we are poacher chose to use the line, “thin line between poaching,” good choice of words TagBackTV.

Another quick method is just go to the same mooncalf den get all 8 mooncalfs fly 100m away wait till night again then just keep repeating

@@igorfernandomaster The Deluxe version for PS5 has the haunted house mission, when you pass the test, defeat the former owner, the shop and the house elf become yours! And you sell clothing items at better prices, usually 30 coins more for each item sold!

Yeah, im no where near this i have 10 hours played, im lvl 15, and i have just done hogsmead with sebastian, been doing all the chests, puzzles and wonderlusting that the game will let me do, i havent even unlocked talent points yet.
I wouldn't compare poaching to selling the beasts to the shop owner. The poachers sell them to be killed off for parts, the shop owner takes care of them and sells fur etc. Way better than the poachers
