I know the video is a bit older, but maybe I get a answer for my question :D you linked a other gimbal in the description, does that gimbal also fits on the alpha 6000?
thanks for your video! i got a a6000 but with the shittest lens i think. i cannot record like that. also is it there a movie option for videos, does it do that auto focus so fast? can you recomend me a lens which is more focused on video? thank you
I use the sigma 16mm f1.4 for all my RUclips videos. Checkout my review of that, and also checkout my “Bokeh Basics” video to learn how to blur the background with any lens. ✌🏻
It’s pretty awesome. An in depth review may be a month from now. I seriously recommend this, however I’ve never used a Crane 2, which I hear is amazing. However this gimbal was $400 vs the crane 2 being $750.
Sony has a shotgun mic that hooks up via hot shoe but I think it’s pricy. Otherwise I’d say use an H1 zoom mic or a lav mic. You’d have to sync in post for those
Hey kyle! Great video. I just wanted to get your take on my situation before I pull the trigger on getting a new rig. I currently own a Canon g7x mark 2 and I must say, I am pleased with it buuut, i'm not a vlogger. I prefer to film small edits, outdoor adventures, take some pics for special events, and just stuff like that. I am highly considering selling my G7x M2 and getting an a6000. Does this seem like a good or poor decision?
I believe it’s cheaper (with kit lens) than your camera so that’s nice if you sell yours. For what you need it for it’s kind of perfect. It doesn’t have in body stabilization, only the 6500 has that, not sure if the G7X 2 has that. If you need audio I’d suggest 6300 as it has a mic port, the 6000 doesn’t. Check out my road trip vlogs (there’s a playlist). I used the a6000 and kit lens the entire trip,
Wow that’s awesome Claire! Thank you so much. I was watching other RUclipsrs and gimbal reviews and saw a lot of a6000 users got this one. What really convinced me was it’s price, the 45 degree angle, and ease of use. It was $250 less than the popular Crane 2 ($750), and it doesn’t have the back of the screen blocked. I figured what the heck let’s give it a shot! Glad I did as I absolutely love it. I’ll do a super in depth review of it later on, but obviously I made a 17 minute video on it and i enjoy it a lot! Thanks again Claire!
Question...where are your "beginner basics" videos? I have had my camera about 2 years and always use auto settings. I've never used manual settings. Definitely need help. I've learned a lot all ready from you but I don't know f-stop from ISO. Thanks for doing these!
I haven’t done that yet. I do have a bokeh basics video - which informs you why the aperture number means, and how to achieve the out of focus look. My video talks about that, and you can use Aperture Priority mode “A” to only control the aperture number (also called the “f” number.) ruclips.net/video/ehbM2JBeZ-U/видео.html I may definitely do a very beginner like video in the future!
I felt this one was more reasonable than the zhiyun v2. That seems to be the industry standard, and it can hold more weight. I’ll definitely have to try it out someday!
Hi ! I have a question, it’s not about the gimbal but I don’t find the issue...I want to shoot exactly with a 1/50 frequence but for the Sony A6000 I have 1/45 or 1/60. Can I change the parameters for 1/50? Thank you !
It’s just an older model. Company should still be around. If you’re serious about this specific one I’m looking to sell mine. Message me on Instagram. 👍🏻
I can't use XAVC S format on my camera. I know its showing me that I'm using a cheap quality SD card. so I want to buy a new one. So please suggest me a SD card in which I can use the format named XAVC S and shoot in 60fps.
You have to have a 64gig capacity card. Here you go! www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1282965-REG/sandisk_sdsdxxg_064g_gn4in_extremepro_sdhc_64gb.html?ap=y&gclid=CjwKCAjwo87YBRBgEiwAI1LkqeOCp-IikLFKfpBM98eRURkf2bKWKA4s1oYdBz-8X7arQL4dH1SsUBoC__QQAvD_BwE
Its actually not based on storage, its based on the speed of the card. Sony reccommends an 80 mbps card for use with 60fps 1080p xavc s and for 120fps a 100 mbps card.
Well low light auto focus for any camera is tough. The AF Illuminator setting helps it focus in the dark with a red light. Not sure what the exact problem is that you’re having though.
Thanks for the info and video! I just purchased my new Sony A6000 , moving away from my Nikon D300s. Have you ever attempted night long exposure photography with the A6000 and what was the end result?
No problem! Thanks for watching. I actually have not experimented with night long exposure yet. I will be trying some Astro photography when I go to Canada in June. Will have to get back to you after that!
Fantastic! I am traveling to Scotland in September, hoping to be able to capture the milkyway there in the highlands, since you are awesome with your video's I figured you would make a sweet tutorial. Have fun!
Haha maybe! Thanks for the vote of confidence. I’ve heard a lot about an app that helps with the location of stars/Milky Way, I’m looking into that. Gonna try and use the Sigma 16mm f 1.4 and just see what happens!
The app you are looking for is called SkyGuide and you may also want to look into TPE - it gives you the civil and nautical sunrises and sunset times and when the astronomical time is in your favor. One last app (Assuming you have Iphone) Dark Skies to see where there is less light pollution. I have dabbled with night photography, but only with my Nikon and those are the apps that I use. Good luck!
i can't find this Fosicam Gimbal any where . but when i get this in a shop it was expensive . then next i found FeiyuTech G6 plus. so what do you think about FeiyuTech G6 plus . is it good for my alpha a6000 ?
Damn. I should've watched these type of videos before buying the sony a6000. This does not impress me. My galaxy s20 has less shakiness than an a6000 with a gimball.
Gimbals have gotten way better, and I’m not an avid gimbal user. The a6000 is a powerful small camera. Capable of a lot. Definitely watch other videos on gimbals and the a6000 to too, not just mine!
I can't wait to get that camera
Subscribed! Love your channel! It’s a sweet reminder that you don’t need any expensive gear to have quality content!
Thanks so much! More to come! 😊
Wow, i just discovered your channel, and is awesome, keep make videos about a6000 bro 👍
Awesome! Thanks so much!
Thanks for sharing, loved you fury porcelains!!
nice video man, thank you from Vietnam!
Thanks Tam!
super love your content! humble, basic and get things done !
Thanks Will! Much appreciated 🙌🏻
Can’t wait to get this camera
Sony a6000
It’s pretty dang sweet!
Get a6500 for better video or a6400
$$$
I know the video is a bit older, but maybe I get a answer for my question :D you linked a other gimbal in the description, does that gimbal also fits on the alpha 6000?
If I linked it - yep. Most gimbals will support the a6000; it’s not very heavy. Depends on the lenses you attach.
@@kyletaggart thanks alot for the answer, love your content, keep up the great work :)
Awesome as always ❤️
Thanks so much!!
Really nice product.
Hahaha I’m glad you purchase it. About to watch this video now

Sir best gimbal for Sony a6000?? 18-105 g and sigma16mm .....
Please do a in depth view of this gimbal whenever you can. I need one for my a6000. It looks like a dji osmo
It’s pretty awesome. An in depth review may be a month from now. I seriously recommend this, however I’ve never used a Crane 2, which I hear is amazing. However this gimbal was $400 vs the crane 2 being $750.
Yeah $750 is beyond what my pockets can afford right now. Looking forward to the review
Great review! What’s your microphone solution for the a6000 if I want to do recordings outdoors?
Sony has a shotgun mic that hooks up via hot shoe but I think it’s pricy. Otherwise I’d say use an H1 zoom mic or a lav mic. You’d have to sync in post for those
@@kyletaggart I’ll look into all options and choose the best. Thanks! Keep up the good work!
I probably use my gimbal more than my drone. Combine the gimbal with a monopod to get cool crane/drone type shots.

I just bought that amazing camera 😍
Keep posting 📸😊
Thanks!! 📸✌🏻
Hahah maybe in the upcoming videos we can see you in more gimbal action or maybe some drone actions in the future
Absolutely! Got these tools so I gotta use em!!
thanks for the review! super helpful
Glad it helped! 👍🏻
Interesting video, thanks Kyle. Nice toy but it makes great video recordings🎥
It seriously does! Definitely going to up my video quality with it!
I'm enjoying all of your videos and I've purchased many of your suggestions so I may get this one. How did you decide on this model?

hikyletaggart yes please do one! I’ve had my a6000 for 4 years and still a noob. Your videos have taught me so much!
So cool!!
You’re cool! 😎
May I know the lens you're shooting with the gimbal does it have oss ?
I believe I used the kit lens, and yep, it does have OSS.
@@kyletaggart ok thanks...
Time lapse mode sounds interesting.
Great! Does the record button for video work for a6000?
The prizes is normal but hopefully i can buy sometime... Btw how bout zhiyun v2?
I felt this one was more reasonable than the zhiyun v2. That seems to be the industry standard, and it can hold more weight. I’ll definitely have to try it out someday!
does it stil work!? any news?
Yeah it still works, I just rarely use it lol.
@@kyletaggart cool! thanks for answering!
Anytime!
Sweet gimbal!
Thanks!
Should you turn of OSS when using a gimbal
No, unless you think it’s giving your footage a weird look.

Not sure what you mean. Shutter speed? If you’re talking about shutter speed it has the ability to shoot 1/50.
hikyletaggart yes I’ve just found it option 0,3IL (I was on 0,5L)
I'm looking into getting one of these... Everywhere I've looked it says it is unavailable.. What happened to it or the company or something? Thanks!!
It’s just an older model. Company should still be around. If you’re serious about this specific one I’m looking to sell mine. Message me on Instagram. 👍🏻
@@kyletaggart did you end up selling it? I'm interested in one haha
Yep, sold it. Sorry!
Hi, you know if there is another similar gimbal for Sony 6000, this one unavailable :(
this one is one I have my eye on geni.us/weebilsgimbal there are a ton out there that are well suited for the a6000 though!
@@kyletaggart you know about the Hohem All in 1 3-Axis Gimbal Stabilizer for Compact Cameras/Action. not sure if is compatible.
Just check the weight. Then check weight on a6000 product page. 👍🏻 with gimbals it’s all about the supported weight.
@@kyletaggart Thanks, Great videos.
So what settings do you set it to so it it auto focuses on what ever thing you point it to?.
AF-C (auto focus continuous). Wide auto focus, I also turn off face detection. I use the Sigma 16mm f 1.4 for maximum bokeh awesomeness.👍🏻
Can this hold a normal point and shoot camera?
Not sure, if it has the same mount on the bottom, the tripod screw mount. Not sure if it would be too light either (if that’s a thing) lol.

I don’t believe so. There is a trigger but it’s for image capture and also requires you to use an IR blaster cord.
Thanks for the prompt response. Have a great day!
Thanks you too!
What setting do you have your camera on? I brought the same camera and need help with my settings. Great video
I shoot video in aperture priority mode and use the Sigma 16mm f1.4

Is it compatible with rx100 series? Ty
If there is a tripod mount screw on the bottom then it should fit!
i can't find this Fosicam Gimbal any where . but when i get this in a shop it was expensive . then next i found FeiyuTech G6 plus. so what do you think about FeiyuTech G6 plus . is it good for my alpha a6000 ?

love from Bangladesh ❤
G6 plus is good for A6000. No good remote controls though.
can i use sigma 16mm with this Gimbal?
Yes, but it’s more difficult to balance because how front heavy it becomes.
Keep the quality content going on mate! Let's make YT great again ^^
Thanks so much! Put hours and hours I to this one. Glad people enjoyed it! 😁
super
Haha. Your “What’s in my bag” video needs an update now.
why are these not available in Indonesia........ I like to shoot clip for cinematic thing
Dude you may need it! It’s so slick!
More expensive than the Moza Air Cross and only slightly cheaper than the Zhiyun Crane V2? That's a tough sell.
A big thing for me too was the angle of view. It’s definitely not the best gimbal in the world but I like it.
hikyletaggart all that matters in the end. Hope it treats you well. I have a tough time with gimbals lol
