Nice review thank you. I have a 2023 Kona Big Honzo in matte midnight (blue) with standard dropper post. It's a good bike and I would look forward to seeing a review if you think it's a possibility.
how do hydraulic disk breaks prevnt you losing bllance when you suddenly stop? Why would you likely to lose ballance if there was non hydraulic breaks?
Sorry, that is a really bad video, not informing at all... Kona has 1x11, the downside for me is 28T fsa alpha chainring in front-30 would be better for me, but I can climb almost vertical hills because of it, which is not bad at all. To sum it up: 1x11 (11-51 gears), hydraulic disc brakes, maxxis forekaster 29x2.35 tires, Deore shifting, internal cable routing, beautiful color in real life (more greenish than in pictures)... It's the best price/performance bike of 2021 and I am a proud owner of it.
Absolutely horrible video dude you are correct. It's very inaccurate. I had a 2016 Kona Mahuna and it was the best bike I had ever owned by far. Stupid quick and efficient with comfortable seating position too. I had to sell that bike a few years back but now own a Specialized Rockhopper sport that I bought to ride here in Romania,(they don't sell Kona over here unfortunately) but it's an awesome bike and a Mahuna will be next when I return to America. Enjoy your bike.

Kona Blast is the 27.5" version of the 29" Mahuna.
@Fokert-jan Hoeksma Hi, this is Jared from Fit Lab. Thank you for letting us know that, Jan. What more can you tell us about the Mahuna?
