Fabi - Great build video. It gave me a thrill to see those 80/20 shipping cartons delivered all the way to your home from the factory that is right up the street from where I work. Best Wishes!
Looks like a beast of a machine. I'm looking at small desk top systems more for fun and craft items and may buy later this year. Your system is to die for, so to speak. Everything one could want in a CNC router machine. I hope you do well with it. It looks fabulous. Thanks for the video. Looking forward to your next one.
Hey Larry, that sounds great! No matter the size, a CNC is so versatile and opens up many possibilities. (If you go for a CNC with an open frame design, you can let the workpiece overhang the end and afterwards work on the other side. This makes the effective cutting area double the size 😉 Just saying...). Yeah the next video will come very soon! 👍 Thanks for watching
@@BauWoodworks Thanks for the input on what to look for in a CNC. I will definitely meet that in mind when purchasing. Currently I'm favoring a Onefinity, 32" X axis by 50" Y axis. I make and donate corn toss game boards to memory care, and assisted living facilities
Message got away from me. As I was saying I donate these boards to these type of homes. The people living there really seem to like the game. The board is 24" wide(X) by 48 " long(Y) so it will fit on the spoil board. This will allow me to do some design on the surface to enhance it's appearance including the name of the facility. Yes as you see, I live in an imperial country. However after working 28 years for the largest manufacture of precision metric measurement tools Iin the world I am very comfortable with the metric system and frequently do my work using the metric measurements as it is easier in most cases.
I was looking into the company BLUE ELEPHANT about CNC's and they were fairly expensive.. I love this video bro.. Could u tell me something if u don't mind answering my question please mate?? Q. How much is oner of the kits for building ur own CNC machine this size.. I am thinking about building my own CNC machine so I also would like tyo ask how tough it would be to build my own 5' X 4' CNC machine?? Would it be very expensive to buy the parts to build it or would it be too hard to get the software correctly set up for a home made CNC??? I would love it if u could answer my couple questions my friend.. Again I love this video
@@BauWoodworks It's expensive Lego. Would be interesting to work out how long it would take to pay that investment off. Depends on your workflow I guess. In the meantime i'll just be here using those Kumiko blocks :)
Can I ask you one question.... Do all these tools such as the drill, screw drivers and so on that you use for assembly come with the cnc kit ... or should I buy those ...if not, please give us some links to such tools
Awesome video I’m looking at something about half the size to get me started and can’t wait. Would be interesting to see a video on how you approach your design for your cnc laptop cart along side the build. Keep the great videos coming Al
Yeah the shipping was around 900 USD not including import fees and customs (this obviously depends on the country you import it to). Regarding imperial parts: Most of the measurements were metric anyways. I only had to buy an imperial hex key (can't remember the size) and an imperial tape measure. So this was not really an issue 😀 Then I only bought metric bits...
@@BauWoodworks Working at the brewery... The first brewing video? It might be coming sooner than you think! Hahahaha How's the business going? That seems like a serious piece of machinery.
@@BauWoodworks It might be a few months away until I make a brewing video, but I have lots and lots of ideas for what I plan to do! What does it allow you to do now that you couldn't before?
Avid is a great machine, I recently received the same size 48 X96 and added the rotary assembly. Which to this point is an expensive paperweight...It works fine I just have taken the time to use it. I felt your pain with the wiring, it wasn't hard, but tedious. Did you leave the front open for a vertical table? I did on mine, but like the rotary, I haven't used it yet. I subbed so keep the videos coming and good luck with the new toy.
It's definitely a beast! Haha hope you'll get tobuse the rotary more often 👍 Yes I left the front for the vertical table, which I haven't even installed 🙈 yet. Hopefully 😂 New videos are on their way 😉
Great build. i checked out the Avid Store and i think they are pretty pricey considering its just a Kit CNC. Why you didnt went for a 2nd hand? i think you could easyli grab similar quality and size for half the price or less. and their Laser upgrade ist simply a joke by price. should be mb 3-400 be a fair deal and not an extra 2-3K.... (i work in the Laser industry) ;)
Really nice video, are you in Germany right? I'm in Germany too with a project that will require a CNC, I'm a game developer and have a big game collection that I want to put on my office wall with a Arcade machine, maybe we can talk about this project.
. . SCHADE 😕
Excellent... a question friends, I want to make my 78'x118'' (2x3m) cnc for different woods and melamine, what servo motor, spindle, bearings, couplings, inductive sensors, emergency stop and stroke limits do you advise me to use? thank you so much
Awesome build Mr. Bau 👍.
Loved to see the Tasmanian Devil gave you a hand at 2:28.
Need a beast to build a beast 😉👍
Do you have a weblink to all the parts you used to build this project? I'd love to build one.

Hi Joe,
hehe that's awesome! Nice to know where they are from and thanks for overseeing the production 😉😅
Good job cam hiep build one
thx
This is a great overview, Thanks for sharing!
Sure thing! It was a pleasure to build and get started with CNC!
Don't know why, but I LOVE that you could open the door to get that rail on, lol.
Sehr interessantes Video zu sehen wie du die CNC baust 👏👏👏
War auch wirklich ein riesen Spaß das Teil aufzubauen! Würde ich jederzeit nochmal machen 😁

Hello, love your videos. I live in the US and wondering where did you buy your CNC kit?
Amazing to see the CNC come to life! Another great video :)
Thanks Justin! Yeah I am super thrilled about the CNC 😀👍
It's nice to see this video .. please suggest where did you get this machine from ?and need all the details...
Hey there,
I got the machine from www.avidcnc.com/
Just get in contact with them if you are interested. They customer service is awesome!

I love the fact that you’re not that guy that fills everything with epoxy, and you use bow ties, so sick of everyone filling every void with epoxy,
i want to buy your blue print
Since I bought the plans from Jays customs creation I don't feel like reselling my modified version is the right thing to do.
Not sure I like how the spoilboard sits on top of those wood beams. Wood changes in size over time and will warp the spoilboard surface.

How much did it cost?
Hey Eric,
you can find the current prices on the Avid CNC website. I think they increased the prices because of the rise in aluminum prices.
You didnt tram your you z axis
Well noticed 👍 I did in both directions but didn't film it and forgot to mention it 🙈 Sorry
