Animal Crossing: K.K. Cruisin' (Mega Collaboration Cover) ft. 48 Musicians || String Player Gamer

- Every once in a while, I find myself going on a binge of all K.K. Cruisin’ covers on RUclips. I consider #AnimalCrossing's K.K. Cruisin’ as one of the most versatile VGM pieces for an “endless live jam” because of its chord progression. It can fit any genre of music or musician. But I always end up with the same dilemma: there isn’t enough K.K. Cruisin’ covers on RUclips.
Then it dawned on me, why not produce an ultimate jam collaboration of K.K. Cruisin’? A global event happened, SUDDENLY everyone has free time!
I took this opportunity to invite EVERY single musician in my circle, even reaching out to musicians I’ve only watched from afar. The goal is for each musician to create an improvised or arranged musical line that will showcase their musicality. They can go flashy, super fast, or emotional, and dramatic. I left that decision to the musicians. These are the people who answered my call.
Everyone was given an identical backing track to work on, but for the final result, I created a new backing track for each of them (except for the self-sufficient Moises Nieto, Triforcefilms and DJ Cutman) based on their playing style. This was probably one of the highlights for me during this collaboration process as I was able to dig my brain of every single musical genre that I either composed, arranged or listened to in the past.
And so, ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, an 18-minute collaboration improv-jam session featuring 48 musicians (yours truly included), of the one and only, K.K. Cruisin’ from the Animal Crossing series.

@@Mac_Omegaly On my own, I just found a gray version. Luckily, a keen eyed stringee @Anotherinufan found a red version on her town's Able Sister's shop and quickly let me know. So I paid her town a visit. Haha!

The organization of the track was so neat to see: similar instruments grouped up like it was! The backtracks all changing to the style of the performer must have been a ton of work, but it's so fun to hear. And frickin Sarah's violin solo at 12:34 is my entire jam GOD that was so groovy.

Thank you David! Re: organization, it was inspired by the fact that for once there was a staggering entry of musicians who are not guitarists. Like Threewis! Haha! As for the custom backtracks, that was the most absolute fun I've had in a while since this genre-bending practice is something I did a lot when I was more active as a film composer. It was in a way, nostalgic.

But for real though, it’s marvellously made. I always loved your original cover of this track years ago and this collab is the cherry on top. I hope this video will draw the attention of many viewers not only to you, Mr.SPG, but to all of those who participated in this special piece of art. You RUclips musicians might be a small corner of this platform, compared to other stuff like Lifestyle and such but
in this corner you can actually see the love and passion pouring out of every video. And this collab is the proof for that.

I got very emotional while watching this.
I remember getting Animal Crossing New Leaf when I was in like third grade, and I played whenever I wasn’t at school or doing whatever a third grader had to do for homework. Now, when I play New Horizons it makes me remember little old third grade me, and I’m always happy when I play.
The music always makes me remember those school nights when I would hide my 3Ds under my pillow so I could listen to all of K.K’s songs and fall asleep.
When I was watching this, all those memories and emotions came flooding back, and made me think of simpler, happy times.
My third grade self would be very happy to see this video lol. Thank you to everybody in this video for making such amazing music!
