Thank you for all the content Brian! It was HUGE as I worked through the SIE, 7 and 66! 3 for 3! No way I pass without your summaries and insight. Appreciate all the time you spend putting content out that matters to us test takers!
As expected these exact questions were on the exam but they were worded in such a tricky manner that I still don't think I got it right even though I knew the material.
@@MarkUgartechea Make sure you are scoring above 80% on every exam before you take the real exam. I was scoring in the 90's on everything my last week before the exam.
Brian! I have a quick question - - i have on my notes two different days for the annual adv renewal and am a bit confused. Material changes in ADV- within 120 days of fiscal year end. updated amended form ADV - 90 within fiscal year end. not sure if i messed up on my notes. can you please clarify 🙏🏼
My question is, can someone just create an IA without having to take a state exam (tested)? Can someone skip the 65 and just create an IA company to perform IAR businesses and hire licensed IARs? Thank you.
@@brianlee8730 thank you. I was looking at 3.5.2 on updating the ADV. An updated ADV must be filed 90 after FYE but the disclosure brochure must be delivered to a client by 120 after FYE.

Thank you Mr. Lee, very well done. It’s finally clear. Thanks again. Textbook is most definitely not clear. New subscriber.
Good video! I take the Series 66 tomorrow. This was a good breakdown of stuff in the book that they stretch out for dozens and dozens of pages. Thanks

@@danielcunningham2286 I'm taking the 66 in 3 weeks. What were you scoring on final exams. What should I be scoring?

Annual disclosure brochure is required 120 days from FYE. Amendments are required w/in 90 days.
Thank you! A question... A person creating an IA (owner, partner) must register but, do they have to pass an advisory license exam?
nicolas wilcken They would automatically be registered as an IAR (testable) but generally would still have to take an exam (not tested).
My question is, can someone just create an IA without having to take a state exam (tested)? Can someone skip the 65 and just create an IA company to perform IAR businesses and hire licensed IARs? Thank you.
My Kaplan book states ADV should be updated no later than 90 days after FYE, not 120.
In the Kaplan manual, section 3.10.3.1 states an updated brochure must be delivered to each client w/in 120 days of f.y.e

Mr. Lee what is a C.P.A please
Certified Public Accountant.
Is there a time when a solicitor does NOT have to register as an IAR? I thought there was an exclusion/exception in some cases here.
Under the U.S.A, in almost ever case, if you solicit business for an IA, you have to register as an IAR. That is how I would remember it for the test.
