Thank you for this video. I first became interested in elegance as a personal refinement pursuit at least 40 years ago while in military service. I made a commitment to be impeccable in my uniform. While having an impeccable uniform is the standard of military service, I really took it to heart in other ways. I remember an incident while interacting with a group of other enlisted personnel. After a few minutes of conversation, one of the men saw my sleeve insignia and said, “you’re not an officer?” I said no. He replied, “you carry yourself like an officer.” That was a high compliment! This gentleman’s words stuck with me all these years. Being committed to elegance in all that I do has served me well. I may not have the most elegant wardrobe (could use improvement); however, I am committed to elegant behavior and class, which is the more important aspect I believe.
What’s interesting is how your story reminded me how we had history classes on how Females Marines were taught how to wear their uniform with proper stockings, make up, and how to eat properly and that was apart of basic training 20+ years ago. When I went in the Marines they stopped teaching all of that…even the new uniforms look similar to the males’ uniform which is sad and happened when I got out. There’s a difference between being like one of the guys to literally looking like and acting like one of the guys…and in the Marines if you aren’t watchful you can lose a lot of your feminity.
Although I am a gentleman-in-training, and there are key differences in the nicer behaviors between myself, and the fairer gender-I enjoy listening to your videos as it gives me a sense of what traits should be mirrored by the ladies I meet, and what differences and nuances to look out for. I am able to understand things with as why I should be so open with praise and compliments, but why I’ve never heard the same in return from ladies I meet and greet. Thank you for these videos!!
What channels to you watch to learn gentlemanly quality? I'd like to know for the reason you watch this one - what are men being taught and what should I be able to expect?
I agree. I aspire to becoming an elegant woman. I get a great deal of flak & envy from most women for this. They seem put off because I dress nice, am courteous & kind plus I get alot of attention from men. Now mind you, I'm quite modest. One thing is I can be a blabbermouth. I don't mean to interrupt anyone but my personality is very outgoing and vivacious. I'm quite exuberant. Any suggestions?
@@danilaroche1156Blabbermouth is the opposite of elegant! 😂 You’re even cutting it close with “ vivaciousness”. And that can be attractive , it’s just not an elegant trait.
I took a lot of notes. Thank you ❤ I’m 30 and I have a two year old looking up to me. I’m in outside trade so this was much needed. “May God continue to bless you.”
Hi, Vivienne. What you are doing is so important! These days, there is an over-riding trend to let down the standard and just be "comfortable". An appeal to be more refined, thoughtful of others, and well- mannered is always needed! So, thank you! And.... You look so lovely with your hair down!
I truly appreciate your messages. Never have anyone shared with me so much wisdom not even my mother. She did not know how to part this information to me. A person cannot teach what is not known to them. I have made this a part of my regular agenda to listen at you.
1. Show Appreciation - Don't forget basic pleasantries like "Please" and "Thank You". 2. Keep to Time 3. Listen Attentively - Look the person in the eye. 4. Be Kind & Considerate 5. Silence Speaks Volumes - High class elegant women are not talkative and loud. Silence gives an air of mystique that is intriguing and attractive. 6. Dress Elegantly - Dress for the right occasion and dress for your body type. 7. Be Trustworthy & Accountable - Stick to your words and live up to your promise.
Define talkative? I speak clearly and assertively and I’m well read. I’m not softly spoken as that’s not my nature. But I’m not obnoxious like oh my gosh!, or Over excited like HEY HEY!!!
I absolutely love your content. Thank you so much for all the effort & work you put in as a Godly woman. It’s a fresh breathe of air to see women out here still valuing the concept of elegance.
You are a gorgeous and truly elegant lady. I just came accross your channel and watched your latest videos. They are very informative and you are a great speaker. This one spoke to me in particular, especially the part about speaking with grace and kindness... lol. Something I would like to master as I am often too blunt and direct. Just wanted to let you know that your work is appreciated! 🌹💜
Your channel pleasantly appearred out of no where. I would have never assumed this to be a need in my life. However, now that I am hear I will not stop watching. I accept each and every challenge in every video
I once heard it a story about a very highly placed British Duchess who always knew, and greeted, her hostess' BUTLER by name. Also--in personal and professional applications--praise in public, correct or reprimand in private.
This work you do is so valuable. I am so grateful. It truly reaches to the heart of the matter. May God continue to allow this work to reach to all corners of the earth. Thank you so much
Thank you for providing such well thought out and balanced information! Your suggestions are time tested and essential for any woman who is looking to be her best self! I just subscribed and can’t wait to learn more!💖🌸😊🙌🏽✨
Wow, this is very educative content. I just discovered and immediately subscribed to your channel. Keep up the good work of helping us to become better version of ourselves.
I agree with everything that you are saying 💯 I agree kindness should be placed in high value and treating others well not talking down to people, not being condescending - and these are all great qualities to have but realistically I find other people aren't that nice and not that way inclined. You have to be a very, very kind person to embody those traits and there are people like that out there but that's for someone who feels that they should be kind to other people regardless of how others behave. Without trying to toot my own horn that's me, I am kind and I know this because people have prompted this to me as if it's my greatest weakness "but, you're too nice." I've been told. "Other people don't think like you." I, like to see it as a strength but others find and think they can take advantage of me and growing up, I know people aren't nice. There have been some exceptions and especially women who are classy only converse or want anything to do with you unless you are of refinement, otherwise I find they do look down their nose at you for not measuring up. I understand that the energy you put out into the world is what you get back but apart from a few exceptions, people aren't that nice. They will gossip and talk about behind your back. Friends, who you think are friends were never really friends and I've found the reverse is true, people who aren't condescending and gossipy are the natural down to earth humble people who perhaps aren't refined who, when they select you as a friend you have a friend for life not a "friend" that makes you look good for five minutes but will dump you when another elegant looking woman comes along.
I just can't resist follow your content🍀 I have been searching this kind of deep ness about elegance for ages, like a hunger to know about it and translate to my real life Thank you soooo much!🌸🌸

Thank you for this video. Each one I view, I learn something new...something very useful in helping me become the lady of elegance I so much desire to be. Again, thank you.
You see that point number four. It’s very difficult for me. The volume of lashings i receive from angry 😡 customers sometimes really affect me. So bad that It I am mentally stressed 😥 and I tend to respond back. Which makes my response to be a distasteful... I honestly don’t like getting angry overboard. Thanks for sharing this beautiful message
Always keep your Grace and elegance, despite the response you get from others. Maybe they don’t have a lot of experience with confrontation, so maybe you can guide them through it. Maybe they are simply not your friends. It is up to you to be discerning. Good luck! 😊🌸

Thank you so much for your advice. I immediately subscribed to your channel. I have a struggle with speaking on camera and I don't know if that's why your channel was recommended by the algorithm. I think our young women would benefit greatly from having someone that looks like us and embodies all that you speak about as a good motivator. Let me know your thoughts. Great video overall !

I complimented someone after her community had been through a natural disaster. I had also been badly affected but what she did wasn't towards me but her neighbour. I told her she was a great neighbour and she took great offence to it. She was offering her bathroom to her neighbours whose houses had been destroyed and because MY neighbour had a portable bathroom and wouldn't loan it to us or even allow us to shower after our own home had been destroyed by the same natural disaster, this lady opened her home and I thought that was a very loving and generous thing to do. Instead, I was called rude and I was blocked from her social media account.
