This is what I wanted when I was young ( now 40 ). I work out a bit for aesthetics, but mainly for judo. The thing is, I injured the last section of my fingers going over the board in judo, and I need 2 to 3 months of rest. Guess what ? I can train with rings whithout hurting the tip of my fingers. Guess who will be back even stronger to the mats in 3 months ? ( well, ... it would be nice if it was me. Let's hope ). Have a nice day everyone ! Matthieu
All assumptions regarding my strength were nullified the day I started training on rings. I could do 10-12 chest dips on a bar but on rings I could do just 5. It puts a love of stress on my shoulders and I am already feeling a lot stronger in my other movements.

Rings are the best thing ever, there are moves for every fitness level, you can work every muscle group, and they are made strong. I bought a set that can hold up to 1,500lbs and has numbers on the straps so you can set them up evenly for $50 on amazon.

Nice, I'm excited to try these movements out! Those Bulgarian dips look brutal. Regular dips were by far the toughest to execute properly on rings for me when I made the transition.

Well, I want to say to everyone that has just started or plan to start with rings that these exercises are no joke. I think that's intermediate level. He makes them look like they're pretty easy but he's strong man. Performing the skin the cat without bending the arms is easier said than done, it takes a strong core. Bulgarian dips? Classic dips are already very intense. But that's the great thing about rings and the reason why they're such a great tool.

I train ring push-ups for a few weeks now. That feel when you are able to perform a few Bulgarian dips because of that. Couldn't even do a normal dip when I started. The only thing I can't really do is the Wide L-Pullups.
Can you do some videos on how you progressed into this stage of beastary, like the moves you started with to them get to skin the cat and the L pull ups? #RingGang Gang Gang Gang
Hey man great channel I love body weight training for the upper body. On a side note could you do a video on the various resources Eg video editing software, camera, etc. that you use. Your videos are sick.
Any advice if workout was too short? It was challenging and form wasn't perfect but still felt it was too quick. Maybe add more rep and do 1 set of each exercise before moving on instead of finishing each exercise individually?
I hope to start making calisthenics videos on my channel as soon as I get rings I’ve been making gaming videos but after I started calisthenics I lost interest in video games
Tao Physique I made myself a cheap pair at home and I've loved them from day one. Wanna get a pro made pair before I try the advanced stuff though. Lol
Anthony 1987 Sounds like your scapula is weak. Do more scapula pulls, scapula pushups, face pulls and band pull aparts to strenghten the rotator cuff and reduce pain during the movement. Also make sure to strech your lats and pecs because tightness there can lead to pain in the shoulders at times

Bro it’s so hard to keep your legs straight up and forward for the pull up one, like I can do a fuck tone of pull ups but with my legs up like that, nah, like 3, my core is so behind the rest of my body
Whats the correct way of doing those? Do you do 1st exercise for 4 sets, or do you rotate each exercise once in a circle until you do everything in 4 sets? Feels like I'm constantly adjusting the rings, height,spacing etc. Would it be better to mount them chest height, then do 4 sets at once, with 30 sec rest in between perhaps then move to the next set of exercises?

I'm 45 and got them a few years ago. My son has a friend who's a trainer and in his 20s...he's ripped and comes over and struggles on them.

You should definitely start with skin the cats if you've never done a ring workout. That's definitely a safe way to start.
