Thank you, especially like the method to clear everything before updating.

What do you use for bandwidth? Thanks and thumbs up.

I don't think I count :) I am not an avid console user. It's a great piece of software. My daily drive is SDRuno. I did this video to help a user from the SDRplay facebook group. When I do use it I usually select 500k.

Thanks. I use to use Console a lot before I got SDRPlay radios and now use SDRuno mostly but there are a few features I like in Console that SDRuno does not have yet or they are working on it. Can't wait for the newest software release of UNO with hopefully some additional scanner options.

Hi. Did you not have to install any SDRPlay software like the API software for SDR Console to communicate with the SDR RSP1A?

Thanks Mike will have to give this a try, do you know what kind of signal seen to the right of the station you selected is (at the end of the video). It has a fuzzy wavering appearance on the waterfall, I see it quite a lot and thought it was just local interference to me.

Not sure if you're referring to the slanted horizontal lines if so that would be CODAR

How does one adjust where the LO sits? Whenever I hit the center icon, it centers the frequency I'm on, and also sets LO to the same frequency!

Hey, thanks for this tutorial. I just got an RSP1a, and have been using Console. I'm still a little confused about the gain settings. In the home tab up top, there is RF Gain and IF Gain. I guess these are for the tuner itself? Then, in the Receive window, there are more options for AGC. It seems like I'm getting good results by leaving the IF gain at default (-40, I think), and then either using the AGC in the receive window (not sure of slow, med or fast is best). Sometimes, I'll turn off AGC (in the receive window) and then there is a manual RF gain slider. This is different than the RF Gain adjustment on the home tab, right?
Main question is, should AGC be on or off (both in the home tab and receive window), and also, do the controls in the home tab control the tuner (the RSP1), and the controls in the receive window control my computer audio and DSP?

The RF and IF gain are RSP gain settings. You want the IF AGC enabled. The RX CONTROL panels AGC is for demodulated audio.

3:11 This doesn't work as shown in Windows 11. First of all there is a choice in SDRConsole not shown in your outdated video. There's a choice between SDRPLAY V2 or SDRPLAY V3. Selecting SDRPLAY V2 results in "NOTHING FOUND SORRY. " Selecting SDRPLAY V3 results in and error "Service SDRPlayAPIService must be installed..." Please note that I have installed SDRUno and it works fine.... but I HATE SDRUno. I want to use SDR Console with my RSP1a.

Yes, this video is about 4 years old. I am sure Console has change quite a lot since then. I would suggest contacting the developer of SDR-Console directly. I don't use SDR-Console, I can't assist you. www.sdr-radio.com/support
