  • No difference in the noise so the power adapter seems very quiet and still testing out the loop June 15th 2019

    It is nice to know that you can operate the antenna on a battery. It will nice for a DX-pedition!

    You have got me interested in that W6LVP loop aerial ! The noise most likely is from the overhead line but could be air conditioning ?

    You might want to swap the power strip next. Even though my loop antenna and SDR where not plugged into that power strip. Recently I had a noisy power strip nearby on another outlet and that was my noise source. Unplugged that power strip from that outlet and now my noise is gone.

      is it a power strip with a neon-bulb in it to illuminate the switch?

      @@matambale Mine had USB ports and two LED lights. It was a GE power strip with two USB charging ports. It has no illuminating switch.

    How about taking some hedge clippers and cutting the vertical black wires above your loop! Noise problem solved! 🤔
