So I called a guy out due to my Hotpoint fridge not working, whilst walking past the tumble dryer he noticed it and told me that it had been recalled by Hotpoint due to it being faulty, he unplugged it luckily and they sent me a new one. If I had never called him out about the FRIDGE I wouldn’t even have known this, no one had bothered to get in touch with me I had it for so many years! Please get your tumble dryer checked!
Bless him! What an event to go through!! We've got a Hotpoint dryer!! When any business or person tries to get out of something, people tend to lose trust. Transparency and accountability are always respected because they show they'll make an effort to fix something.. the opposite leads to loss of trust. Pavan am deeply saddened to hear about the unimaginable loss you’ve suffered. Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this difficult time. Thank you for your incredible courage in sharing your story and bringing attention to the fault in the tumble dryer. Your efforts to raise awareness and protect others are truly inspiring and admirable. Wishing you strength, healing, and all the best that life can offer moving forward. A special mention to the mainstream media ( This Morning ) as well, for sharing stories like yours and holding big brands accountable to keep the public safe.
I never leave anything thing with a heating element on if I’m not close by..I clean the lint filter on both the dryer and washing machine every time I use them regardless…. I also have the heat setting on the dryer at a lower setting and I only use a cold wash as well…I won’t even leave my iPhone or iPad on charge overnight….I also shutdown my laptop….because they have lithium batteries especially after seeing electric scooters and bikes catching fire.
Thank you for covering this sad story I won't be leaving my dryer on whilst going out my sincere condolences to this young man thank you for bringing this to light 🤝🫶🫂
It's never the manufacturers fault, it's always the consumer this is why if you pursue something like this you need a solicitor, i hope the lad succeeds for his family sake
My family had a fire and the tumble dryey company hotpoint /indesit. They said they would look at the tumble dryer to see what caused the fire but what they did is they lost the tumble dryer I recommend anyone with a fire so it through a solicitor and dont provide the whirpool with machine
When my dryer broke down, I opened it up and saw how much lint was in there. The cables are not encase, and the lint was all over the inside of the dryer. Now I have a new dryer, it’s behind a fireproof door and with a smoke detector. I will also get extinguishers 🧯
Please, check all the pockets before washing and putting clothes in your dryer. I saw a dryer exploded due to lighter left in the pocket…and NEVER leave your appliances unattended, better be safe than sorry.

I thank her for naming the brand. May his grandmother and uncle RIP
This has opened my eyes I normally put my tumbler on and go out so I can come back and fold the washing I won’t be doing that again
But if you stay there and keep an eye on it, it will be a risk to yourself? Being away from it would be a safer option for this situation

I've only just discovered this UK programme and there's been some very interesting items on it but the female presenter is so annoying!
Maybe you just don't like women.
Sad and wicked

So seems like the morning show is running out of story’s to feature
So you don't think this issue is important for people to knpw?
......
Are you for real? You need to get your head checked out. What a complete sad individual.
U R not very good at being an armchair detective.
