After the rehsals and all he would go to eat with people that worked at the opera house. Not just the stars of the opera and those who sang with him. But people who made everything happen. Those who were technicion crew and all. He never aczed like a superstar.

While I concur about the stupid criticism that saw Pav at the ‘ twilight’ of his career in 1993, I very much doubt he would consider the three Tenor s Concerts as the peak of his career. He said it over and over - his dream was to be remembered as an opera singer, singing Operas . Not in stadiums . Even though those concerts helped so many discover his magnificent voice, and those of his two friends .
This was back in 93 and now in 2021 i can say that he lived a good life. A hard life but he did what he loved till the day he died. I cant think of a better way to live life in pursuit of their passion. Rest in peace Pavarotti

This clip is so good. I have started listening to alot of Pavarattis performances and was curious about his personality - i was not disappointed! Maestro seems like the most humble, loving person i could've imagined. Such a sweet person. Did not like the interviewer tho. Fine, as a question about his health but respectfully please. Pavarotti reminds me a lot of one of my uncles: overweight, fantastic black beard and mustache, and loves to sing(though my uncle sings bass, and he sings in a mixed gender acappella quartet).
It's great that so many people wrote him off at this point in his career which was in 1993. Then in 1994, he gets together with 2 other amazing tenors and at that concert, he gives one of the greatest tenor performances ever put to film. I just got done watching his performance of Nessun Dorma from that concert...chills every time.

I empathize with him but good lord he was obese. When your knee is not working properly and you can't breathe the way you used to, you're overweight.

Great and huge personality!
I liked this video because Pavarotti made the most of it and showed what a truly down to earth person he was, as genuine artists are, and was truthful and with a good sense of humor. His wife also seemed down to earth. The interviewer just got lucky, because he was fixated on the man's weight when before him he had a true musical genius and legend.
Love this man. Pavotti one of the greatest.
