    That shot of Fokina sitting in his chair with his head in his hands as the camera pans back revealing gradually emptying seats as it fades into darkness was some Academy award level cinematography. It was like something out of an indie arthouse movie.The only thing it was missing was an intensely sad musical score.🤣

    Controversial call assessments:
    1) Schwartzman is incorrect about the hat thing. You can't hinder yourself, only your opponent. Should the opponent have no issue, play continues.
    2) I get what Dart was trying to say about it being a kinda late challenge, but she was wrong about the ball already having bounced and generally chair umps are lenient on calls that skirt the limits of timeliness.
    3) The out call was made before ADF made contact with the ball. From a technical standpoint, the ball was dead upon the call. Point should be replayed. There is the stupid rule that the chair ump can determine when a player is hindered and when they aren't, but I choose to ignore that rule because it is stupid.
    #'s 2 and 3 would both be completely sorted if chair umpires were given an actual replay system, as would probably 75% of all disagreements on questionable decisions.

    That's crazy I feel like matchs can be easily corrupt. Manipulated. It's all rigged. If you complain you get warning, fines . That's crazy you dropping your racket violently you get code violation. They have to understand that's sportsmanlike , players have emotions sometimes it feels good to evacuate your frustrations/ anger that's human .

    Used to quite like Kyrgios, brought something different, not the typical tennis player. Recently just started to think he's a bit of a bully. It's too much, sometimes just humiliating people, such as that lineswoman. The criticism of the umpires is way too much as well, there are many times when he's right to be frustrated, but there are also often times when he's way off or over-criticizing the umpire for an unclear decision.

    Kyrgios really is the worst BLABBERMOUTH ever... utterly disrespectful to his opponent... and the umpire should have given him a warning for unsportsmanlike conduct. failing that, she could just have ignored him... failing that, she could have called out his behaviour and say: it's all the movie in your mind, Nick. you are imagining things. focus. don't talk to the crowd if you don't want them to talk to you. and just shut up.

    It´s nice, Dart is trying to explain the rules to the umpire. But for which sports did she do it? It was definitely not the challenge regulations in tennis... But yeah, great tennis player always try to explain something, while they have no clue about the real rules...

      @@hilldiga9112 @Dávid Kaposi Thing is guys is that it could have hit someone or almost hit someone outside the court and Kyrgios' argument was that it doesn't matter if it hits someone and it should still be a default. Also he did the same thing against Fritz in Cincinnati which definitely went into the crowd.

    • @redplague
      @redplague Год назад +3

      @@mrgoat5764 If Kyrgios did it safer then it was more luck than judgement as I do not believe he consciously thought "I'm so angry I need to smack this ball but I need to do it in a safe manner". Besides Kyrgios' argument was it doesn't matter if you hit someone, if you smack it into the crowd it's a default. I'm not going to trawl through all the Tennis Drama videos but I've seen Kyrgios smack balls multiple times into the crowd with no consideration as to where they are going. The fact that people defend him on this issue I find ridiculous.

    Being a tennis umpire is a tough job and many of them deserve more respect than they get.
    However, it has to be said, the umpire in the Schwartzman-Kozlov match didn’t enforce the rules correctly at all. In many matches. He’s been the same. Far too many mistakes for a professional official.
