Oh yes one of my favorites, joscho has proven himself to me time and time again how he gas mastered the fretboard with a style that really moves me and after playing thumbstyle as a kid growing up and then rock and blues for years, now im jook on gypsy jazz, very challenging but in a way that keeps you working so happily because of what your hearing. Last but not least Ollie has amazed me for along time lol ike he did on this song, its just that his style is more on the aggressive side but very precise while joscho is so smooth fast and tastful. Bravo to both!

Olli is a great up and coming GJ guitarist but Joscho is the best current acoustic jazz guitarist on the planet. Joscho used to be just about technicality and speed. In the last couple of years he's added great tasteful playing as well as incorporating outside influences such as country, rock & classical into the GJ arena. He's learned to let the music breath and stopped over playing which is a common problem in not just GJ but jazz generally. Again, Olli great but Joscho's timing, phrasing, melodic sense and technical tricks and licks, executed just at the right time, are at the current, and probably for many years to come, top of the GJ guitarist list. Check out Joscho's other most recent albums such as Gypsy Meets Jazz and Classic Meets Gypsy with the Marcus Schenkel Trio.
@@Gavon335 I have checked out a lot of Olli's work including RFQ. I'm not underestimating Olli at all. As I stated "great up and coming". I like Olli a lot but for me Joscho is tops for the reasons given.
Like Guthrie with a selmer and joscho with a suhr? Too different worlds, and they can't be mixed... that's my opinion man, maybe they could make a challenge...but for what? ...🔝😜😎

Well you got a point there, but I think you're underestimated Olli... Try to check out Rhythm Future Quartet, they're good in GJ imo

You can really hear the difference in the tone of the guitar builds here. Olli’s AJL XO is way louder of a guitar than Joschos guitar.
