This version now sounds better to me than the videoclip version. It's melancolicaly beautiful, deep and serene. I love the strings. One of the best songs ever written and composed by them. I just love Amy's voice in this song. :')
After listening through 90% of all the My Immortal songs on youtube I can conclude that this song (from Fallen album) is absolutely the best version of this song. Also to your credit this is also the best quality upload that I've come across :)
Everytime I listen to this... It reminds me of my boyfriend... And how much I love him. I just wish everything was back how it was. No arguing, just love. This song touches me very much.
@FireflyFanatic3 Actually, Amy wrote it about her sister, who died when she was really young. "Hello", "Like You", and a few of her other songs are about this also. "I long to be like you, sis/ Lie cold in the ground like you did/ There's room inside for two and I'm not grieving for you" ~Like You
@maddenbug yes, several of Evanescence's songs were put in the Daredevil soundtrack, but it's probably the other version of this song that you heard there, one with electric guitars and drums instead of strings and and more piano at the end of the song when it comes to it's climax. Also, was the track 'Bring Me To Life', (Wake me up inside) featuring Paul McCoy was only released with male vocals in it because the people from Daredevil said they wanted a guy in the song to fit the film better :)
@slump75 I think it's because Ben wrote it, and he just walked out, and they went through lots of trauma in their relationship, and it was based on no actual experience that either of them went through, it was sort of a song about hypothetical situation and feelings, which Amy doesn't like cos it's not really from the heart. It's difficult to put a lot of feeling into a song when you don't know where it's origins are and what it's talking about
@QueenErrr no this song has nothing to do with Amy's sister at all. Ben Moody wrote it, it was one of their first songs from their REALLY old album (you can find the quite different demo version on youtube) but Amy changed the bridge and got rid of two lines of lyrics. Seriously, google it, it's got nothing to do with her sister, the only songs that are about her are Like You and Hello, but that's it
Wonderous, beautiful, splendid, haunting... Lovely and enchanting.
Questa canzone è stupenda.. Trasmette tanta emozione.
This is beautiful! The piano, the violin, her voice, David's backing vocals... Everything matches perfectly to creat this amazing song :')
this song is so beautiful....it brings me to tears
the true, original, majestic and beautiful song
Une voix douce et relaxente dans une jolie créature
Hauntingly beautiful!

I hear yea girlfriend i am feeling it to.😣
Well said. I concur!
This by far is the best version of this song. The band version messes up a great song.
this version is very sad
i love this one! its better than the one with the guitars; it sounds more innocent; the other one is dramatic they are both epic!!!

for some reason, i love this one more than the one where the band is playing. It just sounds better. x3
I prefer this version for it's violin that plays throughout, I think it adds depth and beauty to the music...
her singing makes you think she's experienced all these things personally and survived them

Why is the Fallen version so unpopular, it's by far the better version!
