  • I've recently noticed this screen show up on my first PS4; to be honest, no one has uploaded a video of it so I might as well do so.
For reference, the system has not been modded and the drive was not upgraded from a 500 GB HDD, and the only accessory connected to it (bar a DualShock 4) was the PlayStation Camera; nothing else of the 500GB system has been messed with. I've got home and powered on my PS4 at the touch-sensitive power button to play Minecraft. The blue light came on and the PS logo showed up in white on a black screen, but rather than the screen fading to black and the blue line turning white, the screen cut to black and the line started randomly flickering between white and blue. The photosensitive epilepsy warning didn't appear at all.
This was accompanied by droning noises and a solid red screen coming up on my TV followed by red text. I tried looking online on my computer for guidance (since a console-related error code was on the screen) but to no avail. I then gave up and held the system's power button for 1 second, thus shutting the system down at that point.
Eventually, I wondered if the power button displayed such a screen or if it was the unit, so I powered on my PS4 by pressing the PS button on my DualShock 4, and system blue light, PS logo, cut to black with system light still being blue, and creepier noises and a grey screen with white text on a black background reminding you to turn the unit off but also strangely to keep it running; the error code displayed has also been changed to 'CE-666666-6'; I wondered if my console was haunted over the displayed error code.
If you live on the edge by pressing O on the last screen, a series of three red flashes are triggered. Another screen offering you the chance of saving your console and all the data from being ruined (which, after about 100 attempts, mine now is surely toast) pops up, accompanied by harsher ambience and the system light randomly flickering between yellow and blue. I left it on this screen for around ten seconds and the ambience ended, then the system light turned white and the screen told me the error has been fixed with an OK button.
I didn't believe it one bit, and I'm glad I didn't because it turned into an even scarier screen accompanied by a yellow system light that flashed red when a video glitch occurred.
That screen asked the user to power off the system and the HDMI output glitched out 4 times in random timings; I held the system's power button until it beeped once somewhere after the fourth glitch-out.
Afterwards, I thought Safe Mode could save the system, so I held the PS4's power button for seven seconds (until the system beeped twice). The power light lit up blue, followed by a screen flashing breifly showing six lines of 'DO YOU REALISE WHAT A HORRIBLE MISTAKE YOU'TE MAKING?!', then as the next screen appeared about ten second later, the power light turned a solid red as if it was one of the overheating PS4s. The next screen, accompanied by a timer counting down from 10 seconds and insanely creepy sounds, threatened to overclock the system's APU and corrupt all the data on the hard drive if you left it on. When the timer hit 3 seconds, I plugged the DualShock 4 with a cable, pressed the PS button, and just as the timer was about to reach 1 second, I tapped the X button, proceeding to Safe Mode, which, according to the screen, was 'STILL RISKY'.
The PS4 power light changed to blue, and there was a long delay before the PS logo came up; six second after the logo came up, a screeching sound was played, and the next screen, which appeared four seconds after the screech started playing, appeared out of nowhere...
The screen, which said "FATAL ERROR" followed by "ERROR: Cannot enter Safe Mode. Partition data is permanently corrupted. Please turn off the system now.", flickered between black text on a white screen and red text on a black screen so quickly even a single pixel was prone to inducing seizures, and it didn't help that the audio sounded like surround sound on a mono speaker.
Eventually, the screen glitched out, the three screens - the first two having a black screens - appeared in this order: "You didn't listen.", "...I expected that.", "HE expected that."; that last one having a blurred out pronoun.
After a black screen, another screen appeared "You're gonna be sorry", that then glitched out with a red power light, then showed a black screen with a dead power light, then the system showed a screen that looked like it was bricked, accompanied by a high pitch sound that played until the system was powered off., and the lack of the Safe Mode text on said screen means that even Safe Mode was corrupted beyond repair. I left the system on and nothing changed.
Eventually, I got bored of the sound and turned the system off, unplugged it, and made a '50 ways to break' video of it, which was uploaded as Unlisted, and included this video as a way in that video.
