    Great post, guys. That’s a darn useful thing to know when you have a pack and leg combo to get your elk home. That little knife did a nice job.

    I always pack a boning/filet knife. It makes this chore a lot easier. Trust me. My choice is a Dexter-Russell, but there are many choices.

    perhaps identifying the muscle groups might be a good idea so folks know the best cooing technique to use for each muscle
